i had that first knights logo in one of my fictional solo OOTP leagues. I'm still 50/50 on joining an OOTP league, but if I do decide to join one, I'm going to contact you, Stork, to see if you have any good recommendations on leagues.

I am completely out of the loop when it comes to OOTP - I don't know anything you can't find out on the message boards.
Even if you don't join an online league I strongly suggest you buy the game.

Even if you don't join an online league I strongly suggest you buy the game. Stork, absolutely. This was one reason why I hadn't aggressively looked at sim leagues yet. I'm still trying to decide if I want to buy the game. I probably will soon enough. The only problem is, on the OOTP online leagues, more than half are dead links and a lot of the other leagues that have websites that work, are dead. I'm sure there are OOTP forums, however, a lot like strat-o-matic, so it'll just take some looking and some luck and getting into a league of quality like this one. Do you own OOTP 6, Stork?

This is from the CBA which folded in 2001 thanks to Isiah Thomas, before restarting in 2002 and merging with two other pro leagues. This is from the Bay State Bombardiers, and I think I like mostly everything about it. It's simple, and "Bombardiers" has a basketball connection, in a way, like a shooter taking a long bomb from outside. I like that that the "o" in Bombardiers is a basketball, and the third logo here is far and away my favorite. I love the basketballs being dropped from the plane like bombs. Great touch there, and still simple and not at all overdone.

This is just a great logo. This is the Maine Windjammers, again, from the CBA, like the Bombardiers. A windjammer is a ship or part of the crew on a ship, and it works great - Maine is known for it's seafood and shipping, so it appeals to the region. Also, I love the navigation wheel and how the basketball is involved with it, being put in the center. Finally, I like the intertwined connotation between windjammer for a ship, and a "jammer" in basketball. The logo is plain, but I like the navigation wheel. Could be a little more involved, but it works perfectly. Simply a great logo.

This is again from the CBA and it's a logo that I love. Basic, but a good name to work with and a terrific logo. I love the name "bandits" for a sports team, and I love how the "bandit" is depicted here, especially dribbling the basketball. To me it's a great touch. Simple, eye-catching and original. Great stuff.

Yet another from the old CBA and while it's an atrocious nickname for a team (the horizon! what!?), I really, really like the yellow basketball in the background. Tough to have to be forced to design a logo for a terrible team name like this, but to me, the designer did the best job he/she could have done. The basketball is imposing, like a sun, and emphasizes the horizon really well. Really simple, emphasizes the team name really well, and because it's an awful team name, but a good logo, I'll give it a thumbs up.

This is again from the CBA. Bad name, bad logo...but who ever thought this logo would work? Even if the team is in the same state or region as Mount Rushmore, it doesn't work with the team name and doesn't work for basketball. It was pretty amusing though, though I'm not sure if I was amused out of entertainment value or out of mockery for the logo. Still...I suppose it is uncommon.

This logo is from the Birmingham Breakouts of the GBL, the Global Basketball Alliance, which worked with the CBA and ABA (2000), apparently as a minor league to the NBA. To me, not a very good name for a team, but a pretty funny logo for some reason. I like the logo a lot and maybe the name works for basketball as a "breakout player", who knows. Just found it amusing enough not to ignore.

Again, from the same league, the GBA (Global Basketball Alliance), this is the Savannah Ragin' Rebels team logo: I have to admit, I like it a lot. Simple and very graphic - a lot more graphic than most logos, that's for sure. The only complaint is that it doesn't have much to do with basketball or Georgia, but for simply a team name with nothing to do with the sport or region, I think it's pretty good and the logo is very good.

Another from the GBA...the Tallahassee Tango... This logo just makes me laugh. It is pretty funny and original...so can't it be a good logo?

I usually can't stand "Wizards" as a team name as it's too hokey, but I think this is really cool. This is the first logo with the team name "Wizards" that actually incorporates a basketball in the logo. I love that about this. This team is the Dakota Wizards from the semi-pro league, the IBA (International Basketball Association). It merged with the CBA to restart the CBA in 2002.
