Nah, actually most of the players that played in the WBC are not doing that well to start the season. Go look at most of the stars and they are off to slow starts: Ichiro, griff, beltre, santana, ortiz, teixiera, zambrano, there are a lot more but i don't feel like listing them.

Griffey had a strong start, he just had a bad knee and on the DL, and Ortiz had a hot start and cooled off. I really think the WBC thing really took a toll on these boys

I don't really see how playing 20 some games of baseball in spring training took a toll on professional baseball players who do this for a living each year.
Maybe I can see them getting a little tired in August or September - but to say that they aren't playing well now because they've played 50 games now instead of 25 or 30 is just not true.

Yeah i can't explain why they would be bad either, but many of them have gotten off to slow starts.

Who's moving up that leader board now? Thats what I thought guys, its a long season, just watch me move up to the top, especially after picking up andruw jones and F-rod. Clemens is going to sign soon. Gagne has optimistic that he will come back in a month, but I have heard that before. Helton is coming back soon. Podsednik is finally playing better after 4 SB's last night.

And now the season is over, thank you for all playing and bowing to my baseball supremacy.
