Currently trying to get through all the songs on my iPod, in alphabetical order. Currently have 5,590 songs on it.
Right now I'm on "I", and Incubus has been crushing it for me. Always loved them, especially when they were more of a funk rock band like on albums "Fungus Amongus" and "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." back in the mid 90's. Brandon Boyd is really underrated as a vocalist and writer, in my opinion. Sounds great live.
This song takes the cake for me. Maybe it is the album art of a lake amongst the mountains, but this track just gives off such a chill summer-time vibe with a beautiful opening to the track, with an absolute sick guitar groove that kicks in with force. The chorus is flat out awesome too.
Sucks they broke up, their last album "If Not Now, When" was not that good, but they are far too talented not to be active right now given they are still young (in their 30s, I think):

randomly found this group on youtube. Liked all the songs I listened to and ended up buying the album. This is a really good slow atmospheric type song, especially if you're under the influence.

I saw the Shakes a while back, I guess when they were on their first "major" tour. Good stuff, great live shows.

really liked the alt-j awesome wave album so had to get their new one that just came out. Like it a lot as well, but probably not for every one. Seems more like an experimental type album. A lot of slower songs that are more melodic. Some of the songs almost seem more like an experience than anything (at least for the first listen). Some start off just ok, but then have a transition that takes it up a notch. Worth checking out if you're willing to listen to something different

That's a pretty banging track right there...very nice. I live in the House Music capital of the world and i've never heard that before! Love it...kinda grimey and gritty.

Maybe the greatest band of the 90's, in my opinion:

"The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel is a really simple, yet incredible classic.
Somehow, someway, this topples it. I'm an irrationally confident fan of "Disturbed". Sure, they ham it up a ton but hey, it works for me.
This is not only their best song, not only one of the greatest covers ever done, but also one of my favorite all-time songs too. It's not easy to take on a legendary track, go with the same ethereal tone, and somehow make it better. The slow burn method vocally is pulled off phenomenally. David Draiman is just a beast here:
