Eli is a douche for pulling that I don't want to go to the Chargers crap. It is a privilege to play in the NFL, you shouldn't be a bitch before you ever throw a pass. I am actually glad Eli ended up on the Giants, that way I can hate him all the more. Go 'Boys. Let's see here, Giants beat Eagles, Redskins beat Giants, Cowboys beat Redskins with half squad. Yeah, pretty sure Cowboys have a shot at the division. Exactly...probably one of the most pathetic acts IN the NFL. Elway was a great player, but I remember him being a asshole not playing for the team that drafted him. Much like you expressed your dumbassery with the "eli is weak/get hurt comment" you are showing it again in your belief that what Eli and Elway did is some sort of rare occurrence. It happens every year, in every major draft, NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. You don't like Eli, b/c he is successful and has won a SB and a SB MVP and your bitch ass Eagles have never won a Super Bowl, and the last time they made it their fat sack of a sorry ass qb spent his time getting fatter and douchier and threw up on the field. Meanwhile yall scape goated the only player that wanted to win and gave an effort, good job on that one dumb fucks. Suck this:

David Tyree and the Giants defense won that Superbowl, not Eli.

David Tyree and the Giants defense won that Superbowl, not Eli. Tyree made a great catch, his last one. Defense was key no doubt, but Eli led the drive to win, an 80+ yard drive against the best team ever according to all the lame ass talking heads. He was cool, calm, and composed in an 80+ yard drive to win the Super Bowl against a team/defense that had yet to lose that season. If they could have given the MVP trophy to the entire D I would have done that, but as far as single performance it was Eli.

I am not sure what kind of "proof" you want, the Eli and Elway situations were super exposed b/c they are superstars, winners of Super Bowls (thats the big game at the end, for you Eagles fans).
I am a huge Grizz fan, so I know each and every year there are guys who will not come work out for us before the draft b/c they do not want to be drafted by us. Hell Thabeet never worked out for us, some say to protect his stock, but other said he didn't want to come here, but once we picked him he had to take that money. Some have gone so far as to say they would not report. Its not usually reported as widely b/c its the Grizz, and its the NBA and nobody cares, but it happens every year around the NBA. Not to teams like the Lakers/Celtics/Bulls, but to small market teams, you bet.
In the MLB I think its even more widespread due to the way some teams treat their prospects, a lot of players/agents are weary of playing in certain farm systems based on the way they use pitchers especially. Some farm systems are viewed as "better" for getting to the bigs, and players try to angle their way to those systems, which can and does include telling certain teams they are not interested.

Also, I guess I am surprised its now a douchebag move to want whats best for ones self and career. I would not want to go rot in San Diego either. Look at Laser Face, he is out there straight fucking KILLING it and the Chargers ineptness in the front office and on the sidelines has helped them win exactly nothing.
Eli was about to be making bank either way, and its not like the Giants were STOCKED when he got there. So he was not joining some super team. So get off the "he should be glad to just make it to the NFL". I am sure he was, but at the same time he didn't want to waste the first 5 years or so on some deadend team. He knew that he was gonna take a PR hit and he manned up and took it and moved on. Some jealous people have not...

How does one lead an 80 yard drive without that terrible throw and that lucky catch? The fact of the matter is, is that the media and all this bullshit usually give the MVP to the QB, since they put them in the spotlight, but if it wasn't for that lucky catch, you guys most likely lose.
They need to start giving that MVP trophy to more than just one person, cause teams win games, but they make it only a one guy trophy, compared to saying the defense was the MVP or the O-line was the MVP, cause if you say that Eli led the 80 yard drive, well he doesn't lead that without that lucky ass catch, good protection or even Burress, who made Eli look way better than he really is.
How many seasons has Eli been in the league? How many interceptions did he throw last year? Just saying, Eli isn't as good as you think, you are being a homer because you're a Giants fan. I would take many other QB's over Eli, including Romo who I think is much better and you can say all you want about some moments that failed Romo, but the fact of the matter is, his stats are better and he has probably had some less talented teams or terrible coaching.

I think a half injured team is still better than your Redskins. Oh wait, did we win like that on Monday, weird.

check page 1 of the thread to see what i think about this skins roster... the fact you didnt get a TD and bragging about the win is pretty sad.

I'm bragging about a half injured team winning that game, if we were fully healthy, then yeah that wouldn't have been that great for us.

That happens all the time because of it's terrible drafting process. And who the hell are you talking about? Scapegoated who? T.O.? You're kidding right? Whatever, Eli is a pussy, no doubt. Just like Peyton...they don't take big hits because they cower down like the pussys they really are. But, I will say Eli played a phenomenal stretch in that playoff (his 95.7 rating shows that). He played average in the GBAY game (NFC Title)...but to say that we are jealous of a QB that played one great stretch is pretty poor on your part. His career QB Rating/completion % shows that he's not even close to a Hall of famer, and is just above average. The hilarious part about this is...Eli actually has a WORSE completion % than McNabb...so what are we jealous of?
