dude you dont know what your talkin about, the big unit aint winnin the cy young for NL, have you seen Schmidt's numbers?! its the best in the LEAGUE. and in the AL its either Santana or Schilling. big unit is good but he's not great anymore. his offense cant produce and he cant pitch his nastyness every rotatoin.

Actually, Johnson would be an Ideal Choice
#1 in ERA (2.71) #1 in Ks (242) Only 38 BBs (Schmidt has over 60) 12-12 record (VERY misleading) #2 in Innings Pitched 2 Shutouts (Tied for #2) 4 Complete Games (Tied for #2) #1 in WHIP (0.87) #1 in BAA (.189)

CY young winners are usually a guy that takes the team to the playoffs, you have to help the team WIN alot not be the worse team in the league AKA DIMONDBACKS. i'll bet my money on schmidt winnin that useless cy young thing

stats are juss numberes, why are you hiding his winning and loss total? and his run support? why not show those

Win/Loss total really aren't a testament to how good he is. There has been games where he has allowed 1 run, and the other team has won. His ERA, WHIP, BAA, Ks, BBs, etc all matter more than Wins or Losses for a Pitcher. We're talking about pitching here, no one expects pitchers to have to produce runs for themselves. If he was on many different teams, he'd have a much better record.

CY Young something won by 20 win pitchers, i have never ever seen a pitcher winning the cy young with 10 wins or 15 wins with 10 losses. If randy played for the Red Sox this year, he'd of had the Cy Young but with that record, he's not gonna win it. Its like the NBA's MVP, can you see if for example Chandler had a 30ppg 20rpg season but had a 2 and 80 record, whould get the the MVP? nope . you have to win games to win those things usually

But, there is also an MVP Award in baseball!

MVP awards goes to the batter/fielder 99% of the time, unless he's a relief pitcher playin every day. MVP's a person that makes the big difference and pitcher got its CY Young. thats why MLB created the CY YOUNG

Which was created for the Best Pitcher. Wins and Losses aren't decided by pitchers, they're decided by hitters.
