Hewitt was never as dominant as Federer. And by looking at hewitt's game and federer's game you don't see many flaws in federer. He might be the best all around player ever. But there are always young and better kids coming up. Maybe someone new or an improved Roddick or improved Safin can be a challenge to Federer. I see Safin as the one with the biggest upside. He needs to get stronger mentally tho.. federa is easily the best in the world. he is one of the best tennis players i have ever seen. his raquet work is amazing.

Agassi is over. He was my favourite for a long time but even when he was one of the best, Sampras was the dominating one. Sampras might have been the best player of all time and I can see Federer being even better. Sampras never had such a dominating season as Federer had this year.

Hewitt was a gun a couple of years ago. I agree he doesn't have the complete package as Federer does. But he did have heart, which got him over the line.
Ive seen ALOT of hewitt play tennis, Liam you must have been like 2 when he was good.
Right now I could never compair Federer to Sampras, Sampras was the best player of the nineties. Federer needs to show consistancy over a 10 years like Sampras did.
I mean Federer is very good but its not a really strong era at the moment.
Agassi - About done Hewitt- Beats everyone but federer Roddick- Needs to learn to Volley Safin- Was dominating, but needs more consistancy on all surfaces. Gutasfo keurten- Can only play on clay Moya- Power game...thats it Henman- Just makes up the numbers. Juan Carlos Fer- Dropped off the pace
Safin, Hewitt, Juan Carlos and Roddick all had some nice time at No.1 ....I think Hewitt was there for 2 years.
Federer is very good BUT one injury can be a massive set back in tennis.
look at the Poo, He beat Sampras at the OZ open when Sampras was in his prime........Then Poo does his knee and has never been the same.
Federer is an all round great player.
Could he beat Sampras, Agassi in their prime?

Football definately. How could you put Hockey on this poll? When does Hockey start by the way? I think WWF or any of the wrestling horse shit is more popular than Hockey in the US.
How in the hell did this turn into a Tennis Thread? Are any of you guys(I hope your guys) in any online Tennis leagues?
I've never played Virtua Tennis I've heard it's excellent. I have the somewhat recent game for the XBOX forget it's name and it's quite good. Also have a couple on the computer there OK at best.
