If anyone wants to know, I bought Medieval: Total War two days ago, and I'm totally loving it.
I started playing as the Spainiards yesterday, and as of right now, half of continental Europe is flying my flag.
I believe I'm the first nation to field handgun units, and I have control of half the Mediterrenean Sea. I couldn't be arsed about sending fleets to the other half.
I'm currently battling the neferious Muslim Turks in Palestine and Tripoli, in the Middle East, doing my best to hold back the Jihads that they are sending my way.
The Germans were a beast early on.
Among their conquests were the Italians and the Papal States, who are now barely clinging on to dear life, thanks to the big bad German war machine.
I only managed to crush the Germans in one decisive battle that finally broke a stalemate that lasted for too long.
The English, who had destroyed the French earlier on, wouldn't aid me in my battle against the Germans, so after crippling the Germans, I launched a punitive campaign that almost eradicated them.
The Danes then did them in for me.
Right now, my only real rival are the Muslim Turks. Possibly the Byzantine Empire and the Danes too, but they can't be tougher than the Turks.
The Middle East is probably the key right now. If I can defeat the Muslim Turks, then it'll only be a matter of time before I sweep across the entire continent.
See, I do have a life beyond SLOX.
;D XD
