Every time he was been nominated, he got beat by someone that wasn't as good but was more of that "off the beaten path" type of actor bullshit. Except when he lost to Michael Caine in The Cider House Rules. Respect. Scientology conspiracy!

I recently watched The Cider House Rules and I'm not sure how Charlize Theron's ass didn't win an Oscar.

To be fair I've never seen Cider House Rules, but the scene at the end of "Magnolia" - if Michael Caine beats that fine, but I'll put money on he doesn't.

Enjoyed new Bill and Ted movie. Now, I need a 3rd Wayne's World. New Bill & Ted was great, I'm weird as I like the 2nd one better than the first, would say 2>1>3. But I thoroughly enjoy all three of them, and the third one thankfully didn't feel like a cash grab sequel. Fun, positive movie that had me laughing quite a bit.

Through Amazon and limited theaters. Yeah the 2nd one to me uses the history aspect better and for someone who loves history I thought they had a fun cast of historical figures that actually was utilized. And yeah, Death is fucking hilarious.

Finally watched Bird Box. Meh. Guess it was better than The Happening.

Finally watched Bird Box. Meh. Guess it was better than The Happening. It came out the same time as The Quiet Place. Haven't watched either yet but I remember mistaking them for each other. I saw the scene of the unsupervised kid getting eaten and I just couldn't with it lol.

Ghost in the Shell (1995) - 8/10
Classic movie and great usage of the cyberpunk genre. A bit dialogue heavy but the conversations were interesting. Action scenes were also very well done.

What was so bad about Tenet? I kinda dug it.

What was so bad about Tenet? I kinda dug it. Idk if I'd say it was bad, I dug the concept and I dug the visuals. Plot makes no sense, and there is no characters in the movie. Literally, none of them are even remotely interesting. I liked it, but very disappointed in it in the end. There is an excellent movie in there, but the execution fell short.

Why was Wonder Woman 1984 so damned bad though? Holy hell. That was disappointing.
Soul is probably my favorite movie of the year, one of Pixar's absolute best IMO. Surprised at how much I liked it, but.
I liked The Midnight Sky, wanted to love it. Think Clooney could have added a action/thill oriented scene and trimmed about 10-15 minutes off. The movie isn't even that long, it just felt long. I like the concept a ton and think the acting/score are both phenomenal. Plot doesn't really go anywhere super interesting, especially if you kind of guess where the movie is going early on.
