Noticed Final Girls was on Hulu now. If you like the idea of a Horror slasher version of Pleasantville, then check it out.

Anyone reading Dune before the movie? I read it a couple years ago, it’s awesome It's been recommended to me for ages and I can see why. Hard to see it translating well to the big screen, but I am a fan of Villeneuve's work. It's a quick read too. Just makes me feel thirsty lol.

I mean to check it out after the movie.

Should have bought this audio book sooner. I'm off to watch in 3 hours. Will probably get somewhat close to the movie stopping point.
Didn’t get interesting until they arrive on the planet. Way too many words to understand the context of lol. Game of Thrones was a rough read at first too with all the characters.

The movie was incredible. The visuals, acting, the realization of all the technology and locations in the book, the G0D DAMN SCOPE. Get hyped! Derek Fisher

I've decided to just watch the movie instead of reading the books. Am I evil? I tried to talk people out of watching GoT before reading the books. I guess I'm a hypocrite.

That movie was AMAZING. My entire group agreed even the two that didn't read it.

We had a mixed group that all loved it. I personally highly recommend reading the book (first 450ish pages). It made it easier to follow and appreciate the visuals. I should note that I didn't read EVERYTHING. I stopped at page 325 and still found the last 30ish minutes highly enjoyable. I'm heading home and reading some more.

I’ve always thought it was better to watch the movie then read the book since the book is always going to be better. If you read the book first, even if the film/tv show is good it’ll never surpass the source material. The movie can be the overview and give you the broad strokes then the book can fill in the margins.
