Any tennis fans out there? The 2008 Australian Open kicks off in an hour or two. Will Federer repeat (yes)? Will Nadal choke Down Under, as usual (yes)? Who will come out of the wide-open bottom half of the draw (Youzhny)?

Federer always wins so don't bother with predictions.

i'm ignoring tennis until the French Open when there is a chance Federer doesn't win...
clay is the equalizer in tennis....to hell with hardcourt and grass...

Federer will win. He's the most dominant player in history, hands down. He's been more dominant in tennis than Tiger has in golf.

Federer loves the Australian open and always plays well here
without checking the results so far I would say others that could compete - but probably wont are
- Safin -Nadal
and thats about it.
Tho is I type this Hewitt is shitting all over some hack..............unfortunaly Hewitt doesnt have the firepower to compete

Safin is washed up, he'll never win another tournament. Nadal will never win a GS other than Roland Garros. The way Djokovic played today, I'll give him a pretty good shot (20%) at beating Fed. But that's it, no one else could handle him.

Yeah, Djokovic is probably the one after Federer with the best chances to go deep but that wouldn't be that suprising as he is #3 for a reason.
I like Nalbandian to compete till the end causing some upsets.

I'm picking Federer until he actually loses. I do think Djokovic does have a chance of beating him though. I was at the open finals, and if Djokovic didn't repeatedly choke, he had Federer beat pretty easily.
Hopefully Blake or Roddick can do something in a major this year...I'd also like to see Young and Isner build off what they did in the open last year

True, completely forgot about Sam...I actually met him. He still has a lot of work to do, a little too inconsistent
