Also, Bush is better than Nirvana too. Your lack of knowledge about music doesn't surprise me. Go put on your Natalie Merchant pussy!!!!

What knowledge? Music is totally subjective. Some people like certain music, some people like others. Some people even think stupid music like Gotye is good. At least with sports you can have a legitimate argument because there are stats and performances you can measure against each other. I always think it's ridiculous when people get all fired up about why one band or singer is better than another.

If it was subjective than you wouldn't have failed bands and artists. I'm sure nobody thinks Spock singing about the Hobbit was good.

If it was subjective than you wouldn't have failed bands and artists. not really a good argument. There's shit bands/artists that are big more for their look than their talent. There's also artists that don't sell shit and then years later people randomly find out about them and they finally get noticed. Look at Nick Drake. He released 3 albums that pretty much no one bought and was a nobody and died from drug overdose. Still no one cared. Then like 10 years after his death Robert Smith (Cure) and some others started talking about him and then he finally started getting some recognition. Most people still probably don't know who he is, yet his albums made Rolling Stones 500 greatest albums of all time list

The music industry is basically the largest game of powerball out there. So much of success is predicated on luck and timing. Right place, right time.
But yeah, I prefer Nirvana over Soundgarden and PJ, though I like them all. AiC was always kind over-rated IMO, again, having a member die certainly does not HURT one's record sales. I always wonder what bands like Nirvana would have made in last 90's, 2000's. Or what about Zeppelin? The shit Robert Plant made solo was awful, how much of that sound would have come out in Zeppelin records, you can certainly tell their sound was changing drastically over their last two records. Would they have hung around and made shitty record after shitty record like the Rolling Stones/The Who/Aerosmith? I seriously don't get all the fucking hype the Stones still get, they have been good in two decades, if not more.
