fuchis said:I highly disagree with the statement that they pay no taxes. So hispanics don't buy anything at all in the US? There is taxes on everything buddy. Plus from first hand, my roommate is illegal and pays taxes. He got through a loop hole and works for a bank and he pays a ton of taxes. He probably pays more taxes then i do.
I never said "they" don't pay no taxes. However, I did say there is a number of immigrants that don't, and I don't like that at all. I don't get what you are trying to prove by saying your roommate pays taxes. Good for him, but I don't get what you are trying to say by that. I've seen a bunch of people that are illegal and don't pay income taxes which are a bit more than sales taxes I believe. Saying you know someone that pays taxes does nothing for me because I know people that don't pay them, so we could play this game all night buddy.
Again, I really am in favor of immigration and I think we should find ways to make it easier to allow immigrants to come here legally. I never said I'm for or against this law. However, I do not support those immigrants that come here to basically "cheat the system."
As far as economics goes, lets also keep in mind that as the number of buyers increase (population increases), demand for products increases causing the price for those products to increase. Last time I checked, we all don't like to pay more for things. Obviously, I'm not saying immigration is bad for the economy, not at all. Just saying that if we are suppossed to keep it objective here, then lets also look at the negative consequences of it.
