Like I said it's not in a racist way it terms it's not ment to be offensive but if you read this thread carefully you'll see people saying "mexicans do this" "mexicans are like this" "blacks are this way" etc etc . And by no means I'm trying to say I'm different. We all generalize. That can be a problem but we all do it probably because it's easier. It's completely off topic though so excuse my remark. Jogo, I don't think it is off topic. I was looking at the same thing and I was startled, to say the least, at these off the cuff generalizations.

illegal means "not according to or authorized by law" They are breaking the law. why should we jsut say. oh its ok you did something illegally, we forgive you. why not do the same to criminals. It's double standards well actually the government is doing that as i believe they are granting all who are already here in the US citizenship with teh passage of the bill or something of that nature....also i am not sure but i believe that this has been done several times speaking of that, i've been pretty surprised reading the bill and the fact that it's mostly a republican sponsored bill. i'm even more shocked that it's "thanksdad" bush who initiated a temporary worker program. spells some trouble for the republican party as this looks divisive, but i'm amazed that it's something i agree with.

I can't wait for Spurs to get involved. Him and Stork have like exact opposite ways of thinking. (both pretty flawed ) Nah I'm staying out of this. All this thread is going to be about is how government sucks and what we would do about this and that. So, instead of complaining about how much life as an American sucks, I'm going to try to enjoy it and try to feel privileged to be an American, thats the motive I try to live by.

Whos says were complaining about how American Life sucks? I don't think it does, im just arguing that this bill is bullshit and shouldn't be let through. I also wanted to know the opinions of other people around the country and the world for that matter on what they think about it.
I feel that to make things better you need a conglomeration of ideas and opinions to get better understanding of what people think. Ultimately this is just for education to me because i enjoy hearing everyones opinions about things like this. No matter if i disagree or not im still wanting to know everyones opinion.

Just because you popped out of the womb in the United States doesn't mean that you have to agree with the greedy old men that run the country. In fact - to make America an even better place to live we should be questioning everything they do in DC.

Is marijuana sold out there Fuchis? The other day I talked to you and you haven't smoked all day, now you're using words like conglomeration. I'm getting worried.

What exactly would making all this a felony solve? If it's a felony it just means you can be in jail for 6 months or more. What're they gon do? There's over 11 million illegal immigrants just around where I am (AZ). Are they gon throw 11 million people, about 1/15 of the country's population in jail? There's not enough room in the AZ prisons for that many people. That means billions of dollars put into building more prisons and paying employees like guards, etc...causing more problems than it solves.
I understand that coming into the country from Mexico shouldn't be so easy. The main concern of our gov't (at least in their politically correct statements) is that if it's so easy for Mexican immigrants to get into the States from Mexico, what's to stop terrorists from doing the same? But making this a felony does nothing but cause more problems.

I'm not actually sure of the specifics of this bill.
I heard that there were a few different proposals. I think that one of them would grant all illegal's in the country amnesty.

The bill states that if you are an illegal immigrant and have been here before 2004, then your allowe to stay up to 6 years and keep working. But in no way it says they are given citizenship which doesn't make sense to me. I don't think there would be as many people protesting if all of them were given US citizenship.
As for Jogo, California's top cash crop is Marijuana and yes there is plenty of it for me to go around. I'm actually in my last semester to graduating in a degree in Communications and trying to be a sports journalist or broadcaster. I'm very good at writing i just choose not to in my posts because i dont really care, im not going to be published in here or use any of this in a resume, so i just type fast and don't use grammer.
However, i will be published next year in a book called "Censored 2007," This book is through my internship at Project Censored, which basically covers all media stories that the US mainstream news doesn't for the year. Book is really interesting and you should check it out.

lol basically the bill is just a 6 month stall to kick out the illegals makes more sense why not give them citizenship and then make the borders harder to get across

didnt know there's a career out of communication major, and all these time when i saw bunch of athletes declare themselves as communication major, they were just wasting their time. But if you want to be a journalist, wouldnt you have to be a dual major with communication? I know its off topic but it seemed interested cause i had to minor in journalism inorder to write in a medical journal for cash and i thought it'd be similar for everything else.
But about the immigration thing, illegal is illegal, they should just go back to where they're from and enter the country with a visa (student or work) and work your self to the top from there. Why run from the cops all your life rather try something that'll not only get you respect but the deserving opportunity by going that route of studying or having a job

A degree is a degree it doesn't really matter what your major is unless you want to be a Doctor or a Lawyer.
Your never wasting your time getting your Bachelors degree it will always put you a step ahead.

I have a very irritating friend who just inherited his father's business (Procter and Gamble lab department)...well will inherit it over in Cincinnati with a HS Degree. Which still pisses me off that he's a milionare already and im 80K in debt with loans. But yeah BA does look good to have but i never understood what "communication major" could do after they do get a BA and now i guess i know you can write journalistic aritlce, book, columns and broadcaster

Only certain degrees are job specific let me add engineering to my previous statement.
Degrees in Liberal Arts, Communication, History, English and Business to name a few can put you in several different career fields.
You should always choose what really interests you not where you can make the most money.
If I went by interest I would have done physical education and coaching but figured there isn't much money in it so I went with my second choice which was business and majoring in accounting.
Come to find out in my Junior year I hated accounting and had much more interest in other areas of business. I really liked Management but it seemed like common sense and didn't think it would pay as well so I switched to Finance which I also had some interest in and I thought I would have more opportunities in the future.
Several of my friends didn't make the grade in business school and switched to Liberal Arts did it really matter in the end. Hell No! They got there degree and I got mine and we were on an even playing field going into the job market.
