i think it all depends on how the coach can handle a player. A good coach can control his players and expose his talent

He's worth the risk in my opinion.
He didn't destroy San Francisco. He helped lead them to 5 playoff appearances in his 8 years there, and was by far their best player for the final 2 appeaances. The 49ers went to hell because they simply didn't have the overall talent level to compete at a high level.
He might not have gotten along with a lot of his teammates in Philly, but he brought the neccesary talent to get the Eagles to the SuperBowl in his first season there.
As long as TO's playing, he'll help his teams far more than he hurts them. And since his contract is no longer an issue in Dallas, I don't see any reason why he won't be playing and helping the Cowboys advance deep into the playoffs.
My only concern is, his drama acts have gotten him so much media attention the past few years, that he may get a craving for the spotlight and do something stupid and get suspended over it.

i dont follow football as much as i do basketball but his story is basically the same as some unknown player named Ron Artest........ he makes his team look good for awhile and leaves or messes it up and goes to another team and makes them look good.......basically with TO and Artest you have to get the most out of them with the limited time you have with them, because you never know when the next thing should happen

Personally I feel the biggest reason that T.O. did not work out in Philadelphia is that he needs to be on a team where he can become the face of the franchise. I mean look at the teams he has been on San Francisco had Jeff Garcia as their poster boy and do we even need to mention Donovan McNabb. Terell simply needs to be the face of his franchise which I think he can be in Dallas.

of course it will all matter of Parcells, because he is a run oriented first guy, which julies jones would get a lot of carries, but bledsoe did throw the ball a lot last year and well. I think his QB rating was around low 90's which is pretty good, imagine that with TO.

He basically was the face of the franchise, along with Donovan

Dont really care for the guy much. But there is no doubt he is a great receiver. But it takes a bit more than 1 great receiver to win a superbowl. And unless the Cowboys win it this year, Im betting the drama that happened in Philly will follow to Dallas.
We also need to give some credit to the QBs that played with TO, Young, Garcia and McNabb, its not like they are chopped liver. I think a bit of the credit for TOs success should be given to them. Imagine if TO was with the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals for his career. I doubt highly he would be as successful.

I think being the face of the franchise hurts owens. He's always in the spotlight and always tempted to do or say something stupid.
Then again it hurts him to NOT be the face of the franchise, because then he always feels underappreciated and wants to do or say something stupid to give himself some attention.
Basically it's a lose-lose situation with this guy.
Good luck Dallas!

I would hardly call Garcia a top QB. He was an all-star in his time with SF, but I think that's mostly because he had Owens to throw to and take double teams away from other recievers.
If he was a "top QB" I'm sure he'd be starting somewhere right now instead of riding the bench with several teams.

During his prime (which was the time he played with TO) he put up decent #s.
2000-2002 he avg. about a 90 rating, which is pretty solid to me. 4000 yds and 24 TDs.

I'm sick of hearing about TO and I hope he falls flat on his face in Dallas.
I really think Dallas won't have any issues with him this season like many other people have stated. Has TO learned his lesson? Probably for a little while. I don't understand Dallas paying him that much money. It's not like TO had a lot of teams knocking his door down.
Keyshawn Johnson and TO what a fucked up combo I hope they both rot in hell and Dallas loses every game.
