Garcia had some very good years and I wouldn't give all the credit to his receivers. The other teams he's gone to Cleveland and Detroit he's been the starter when healthy. Give him a break he's not the protitype QB he's undersized and scrambles thus taking some nasty hits and injuries over the course of his career. Many of his best seasons were spent in the CFL in Canada. Bottom line the guy is a winner and if you put a good team around him he's always been successful.

It won't be T.O. and Keyshawn in Dallas because the Cowboys released Keyshawn to make room for T.O. Keyshawn was picked up by Carolina and now forms a pretty sick duo with Steve Smith.

for a solid stretch, jeff garcia most definitely was a top quarterback. three time pro bowler, two times over 3500 yards (and one year over 4250 yards), two years over 30 TD's but under 15 INT's?
for a solid three year stretch, garcia was definitely a top QB. and even when after he left san francisco, he was the starter, like nuggets said. he had always been the de facto starter when healthy in cleveland and detroit. in cleveland, he was hailed as a big free agent signing and in detroit he didn't get much of a chance as he injured his leg, but i don't think there's any question he was brought to both places to start.
maybe in detroit there could be some question, but garcia quickly took the hold of the starting QB job away from harrington before he got hurt and then took it back quickly after he got healthy.

I don't understand Dallas paying him that much money. It's not like TO had a lot of teams knocking his door down. i'm not sure about that. there were many published reports of other teams being interested, and that was only the published reports. i'm sure there were some teams interested that didn't get reported on. for example, the broncos, chiefs, dolphins and buccaneers were all interested in owens.

Ready, set, boo: T.O. returns to Philly as Cowboy on Oct. 8
April 6, 2006 CBS SportsLine.com wire reports
NEW YORK -- Philadelphia fans will get their chance to boo Terrell Owens a month into the 2006 NFL season.
Owens, suspended and then benched by the Eagles last season, will return on Oct. 8 with the Dallas Cowboys in one of the highlight games of the NFL schedule, released Thursday. Owens was let go by Philadelphia and signed by Dallas a month ago.
Several games have already been announced. They include the opener on Thursday night Sept. 7 featuring Miami at Super Bowl winner Pittsburgh.
That will be the first game in NBC's new package, which includes another previously announced game: Sunday night, Sept. 10 featuring the Manning brothers -- Peyton of the Indianapolis Colts against Eli and the New York Giants at the Meadowlands.
ESPN's new Monday night package will begin on Sept. 11 with a doubleheader: Minnesota at Washington at 7 p.m. Eastern time followed by San Diego at Oakland at 10:15 p.m. The Thanksgiving games feature Miami at Detroit and Tampa Bay at Dallas followed by Denver at Kansas City in an 8 p.m. start, the first of eight games to be carried by the NFL Network.
New Orleans, forced out of its home by Hurricane Katrina last season, returns to the Superdome for a Monday night game Sept. 25 against Atlanta. The Saints, who played their home games last season in San Antonio, Baton Rouge and East Rutherford, N.J., are at Cleveland and Green Bay the first two weeks.
This will be the first season of flexible scheduling for prime-time games, with the league having the right to shift Sunday day games to Sunday night games if the scheduled night game involves an unattractive matchup.
The league is also flexible on starting times. No national doubleheader games were designated on the schedule, allowing Fox and CBS to get the most attractive games as the season unfolds.
In addition to the Thanksgiving game, the other NFL Network games, all played at 8 p.m. Eastern time are: Baltimore at Cincinnati, Nov. 30; Cleveland at Pittsburgh, Dec. 7; San Francisco at Seattle, Dec. 14; Dallas at Atlanta, Dec. 16; Minnesota at Green Bay, Dec. 21; Kansas City at Oakland, Dec. 23; and the Giants at Washington, Dec. 30.

Question is would Jeff Garcia had those good years without TO? Was it TO that made him have a really good years? If you look at Mcnabb he didn't have outstounding passing TD years, until TO got there. Look at his previous years, then look at the first year TO was there. I don't think Mcnabb ever threw or even thought about throwing 5 Td's in one game, but TO made that happen for him. I hate to say it but TO is top 3 reciever in the league and he does make the other recievers around him better, even though he compains and wants the ball more, those other recievers are wide open alot more.
Look at Brian Westbrook that year, it wasn't a secret that Mcnabb liked to throw those out patterens, screens, dumpoffs to his half backs because he is very mobile. Look at the year Westbrook had when TO got there, he wasn't covered as much because the Defense had to worry about TO, so i think TO will make the Cowboys one of the top offenses in the League next year. This will possible make Bledsoe a beast fantasy wise with: TO, terry glenn, jason witten, julies jones, and Mike Vanderjagt, looks to me like a very solid offense, with an already good Defense. I predict they will go 11-5, make the playoffs and have a pretty good chance at making a run for the super bowl.

i definitely see your point, sonics, but don't forget that mcnabb didn't need owens to be a very good QB. without owens, he still led the eagles to three straight NFC championship games.
though owens helped them get over the hump, they still couldn't win it all.

He was the QB when they won those games yes, but he just didn't do exceptionally well stat wise, but he didn't hurt the team. The eagles were a very Defensive oriented team and probably had one of the best defenses in the league, I think that is why they did so well. As long as your offense doesn't hurt you and does decent, with an exceptional defense. Your going to win a lot of games. Cowboys went 10-6 in parcells first year with a great defense and who was the offense? Quincy carter, who? exactly, Troy hambrick, who? exactly, gallaway, a bunch of guys that don't play anymore basically. So, i think the Defense is why the Eagles won all those games.

Meh, McNabb did become better when TO got here, but I think that he woulda became better with just about any competent receivers. Before, he was more of a runner and made much more plays with his feet and throws off the run then he did once TO got here. I mean sure the defense has been great, but the last few years McNabb has been the man.

I guess it would safe to say to all the fantasy football players out there that now with the addition of Terell Owens the fantasy value of Drew Bledsoe skyrockets.

I think it was a good move by Dallas. At the end of the day, their job is to win games and TO will help them do that. What he did in Philly with the contract situation was wrong. However, if I was Philly, I would have just given him more money instead of letting it become such a big disruption to that team and the league. Owens is a great player and my view is that you try to make him happy because he is damn worth the trouble as he showed by helping the Eagles getting to the Super Bowl.
Good move by Dallas, their team just got a whole lot better.
