The apg stat can be very unfair though. Not saying this because of Kobe but the other night I was watching Spurs-Mavs and Dirk went hot and Spurs started to constant double team him. He always found the open team mate who either drew a foul or found an even opener team mate. Basically the passes of Dirk lead to many points but at the end of the game I looked at the boxscore and was really suprised to see him with 2 assists. Crazy.

If they did that Nash would average 15 assists a game.

Nash is getting 19.4ppg and 10.4 assists per game, With a record of 50-26.
Lebrons numbers are 31ppg, 7 rpg, 6apg, with a record of 47-30.
I give the Edge to Nash because they are going to be a number 2 seed by winning their division. They play in a far better conference. Look at the Eastern conference, there could possibly be 4 teams that are going to make the playoffs with below .500 basketball. That is awful. while everyone in the top 8 spots in the Western Conference are all over .500 ball.
Clearly the West is tougher and the Suns have a better record with about the same talent as the Cavs do except in a harder conference. No doubt Lebron is the man, but i think that Nash has the edge this year because of the reasons i pointed out.
Remember Nash won the award with a better team, and less ppg, now he has more ppg and a shit for a team besides Marion and there going to win the division again.

Because of Nash, what did that guy do for his career before coming to the Suns? Career backup, he is young but without nash giving this guy wide open looks all the time, same with raja bell these guys would be backups on most teams.

Dallas would like Nash back, no doubt about that, but Dallas didn't run as much as a run it up the court, score quick system Phoenix has. Yes, Dallas was offensively potent, but not as much as the current Suns

This Dallas team is also arguably better than any Dallas team that had Nash on it.

This Dallas team is also arguably better than any Dallas team that had Nash on it. dallas has so much weapon with dirk, marquis, josh, terry, stack, vanhorn, damp, that startinC forgot his name, and harris with armstrong there too, they have more offensive firepower then the suns IMO

i'm thinking those people who say Kobe doesnt get his teammates involved or pass the ball have not seen a Laker game. He usually takes like 5 shots in the first quarter and tries to get his teammates involved in the beginning. When they dont hit shots Kobe starts to take the initiative. He is the MVP of the leauge
