We found Brazil by accident too but America is credited to the spanish. But you got to understand. It's not like you can pull over in the middle of the ocean and ask for directions.

As a person who is currently in the field of education as a professional I have no problem with the pledge of allegiance since we do it everyday. However with the always increasing level of diversity in public schools it would extremeley unfair and borderline discriminatory to require students to pray. I mean what are you gonna do prey in six or seven different religions before school starts. Also I attended a catholic school for 9 years so I have seen both sides. I was required to go to church every Friday and went through the whole thing.

declaration of independence down? people came to America to be able to worship and follow God in their own way. This country was built on religion You are one very ignorant boy. America was founded on freedom - not religion. It's true that freedom of religion is one of the main draws of America, but it originated as freedom of everything. Since then we've been slowly losing our freedoms one by one - including freedom of religion. Sometimes it seems like if you aren't a christian then you aren't American somehow

For a country that is suppose to have a separation of church and state, we sure imply using the word God a lot. "In God we trust," on our coins. "Under God," for you kinds saying the pledge of a aligence. Young kids don't understand the implements this has. It's almost like brainwashing young kids at an earlier age to believe in God. Religion is for a person to choose for themselves not for governments to implement it on kids.

under God would only go against atheists because they are the only people that dont believe in a god

agnostics as well, since they are not certain a god exists but at the same time, believe in the possibility.
but then again, "under God", doesn't just go against athiests. the country was founded upon a separation of church and state, so that is inaccurate. if there truly was that separation, "under god" on dollar bills would not be the case.
