in no particular order
1. San Antonio: Undisputed champs
2. Houston: T-mac and Yao are great, Rafer will fit in nicely
3. Sacramento: Underrated, but getting Bonzi and Shareef should help a lot. Peja, Bibby, and Miller are still a nice top 3 to have
4. Dallas: They have D under avery johnson. Will be interesting to see him there a whole season
5. Seattle: People hate on west coast teams that aren't in LA. Always happens, always will. But Seattle will be back in the playoffs
6. Warriors: The drought is over. Possibly the best backcourt in the league with Baron and J-rich
7. Nuggets: New team under Karl, arguably one of the best 2nd half teams in the league
8. Clippers: yep, the clippers. Cassell and Mobley are good players. Put them with Brand and Maggette and you have yourself a possible playoff contendor.

Houston is going to be dangerous with Alston and Swift now. They could definitely threaten the Spurs.
And I can't see why the Clippers can't make the playoffs this season. Losing Simmons hurts, but they still have the talent, especially with an experienced guy like Mobley stepping in and also bringing in Cassell. If he and Livingston can co-exist, that's going to be a fun team to watch.

I would really like to know why everyone thinks the Grizzlies are going to drop this year?
Does everyone think they got worse? Has everyone gotten that much better?
Stoudemire - B. Jax E. Jones - D. Jones M. Miller - S. Battier P. Gasol - H. Warrick L. Wright - Big Jake..haha
I think that line-up is a lot better then last year. Not only on the court, but in the lockerroom as well.

I think one thing is that a lot of West teams DID in fact get a lot better - that is probably a key component. I do think though that the Grizzlies will certainly challenge the Sonics and Clippers for the postseason though.

SAc at 3?? Hmm, they lack defense on the wing, and thats where the leagues best players are... I can see 30-35 a game givin up by wells and peja.. They really gonna miss christie and Mobley..

Houston is going to be dangerous with Alston and Swift now. They could definitely threaten the Spurs. Despite the Rockets amazing lineup on paper, they are nowhere near being as good as the spurs, in fact I dont see anyone that could knock them off this year unless Ron Artest gets his act together and things just fit perfectly together in Indiana. Houston has quite a few new faces, and itll take time for them to fit well together. The spurs play an amazingly team oriented style that noone will be able to match up with for atleast another season.

I do recall saying "threaten"...I didn't say "keep up with", "defeat" or even "match" the Spurs. I do think that the Rockets are improved, but it's obvious the Spurs are a grade above every other team, especially with Stoudemire's injury.

I see that the Jazz are the most underated team in the West. I guess I better run to make an online bet on them because they will make the playoffs if they don't get struck by serious injuries again. And since all of you guys are biased, I must add that I have absolutely no affection for that team. I'm a Dallas fan. I just know a good team when I see it lol
