In coachin who do u blame 1 hit wonders on?? The actual coach or the GM..
Lawrence Frank.. Mo Cheeks Doc Rivers Jim Obrien Nate McMillan??? Paul Silas
These off top of my head are coaches that i thought were gonna be real good, but had a good season or 2 but arent anywhere near tp coaches.
Whats the reason

I like Mo, Doc, Nate and Paul. I think all them are very good coaches, and very professional. I don't see any of them as one hit wonders.
A lot depends on player personnel rather then the coach. You can only coach what you have, and you are only as good as what you have.
-I really like Mo. I think he will do very good over in Philly. -Doc is also a good coach in my opinion. He is currently working on a youth project there in Boston, and is doing a pretty good job from what I see. Based on what he has. -Nate has always been a good coach from what I have seen. I always seems to put the right team on the floor to compete. But when you have the Spurs, "old" Lakers, and Mavericks it was hard for the Sonics to actually compete for anything besides a playoff appearance. He has his work cut out for him in Portland though. I think he'll be fine over there too. -Paul Silas had success with the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets when they were healthy. Now he is stuck with LeBron, and LeBron only, and that is gonna show with whoever the coach is. Until they get LeBron some help, they will never really compete for anything besides the playoffs. We'll see if the moves they made this year were enough.
The other two coaches (Lawrence, and Jim) I am not big fans of. I guess they are alright coaches, but I never really payed attention to them.

Whats the reason Didn't Doc Rivers win Coach of the Year in Orlando? Didn't Nate McMillan lead the Sonics last year to a great record? What about Paul Silas, leading teams with little talent to the brink of the playoffs with the Hornets and Cleveland? Mo Cheeks doesn't have a long track record for success but seems to have a large amount of respect, as does Jim O'Brien. The point is: no matter how good of a coach you are, you need players who can play.

Byron Scott did extremely well in New Jersey until the players got tired of hearing the same voice over and over and staged a coup. I think it's a mixture of all of that: GMs, players, coaches, everyone. You need players to play, and if you don't, you can have the best gameplan in the world and it won't work. Plus, you need the RIGHT players for a certain way to play which doesn't always happen. Sometimes the wrong coach can be with the right players and vice-versa.

LoL, on paper their not that bad.. Magloire was an allstar.. Pj Hard nosed Vet does what needs to be done on the court.. Rasual/Nachbar.. 2 young up and coming players.. Might not be starting material but u never know.. Jr Smith.. Will be very very good.. and Chris Paul.. Same as JR. Bench is pretty decent.. Speedy, Lynch, Snyder, West,C Anderson.. With the right coaching, i believe this team is capable of upsetting a few top teams

Anyways, with Mo Cheeks, he had to coach the crazyass Blazers, the team had like 18 cancers.

<-- Huge Blazer fan
Watched them quite a bit on Direct TV. The have many problems, not just last years coach. Mo did as good a job as can be expected with the crap roster they had.
And that was not a playoff roster.
