Despite a sore left shoulder, bruised ribs and an injured right thumb that requires him to wear a protective wrap, Chris Paul came through with eight points, 11 assists and five steals in yesterday's Rookies/Sophomores contest.
"We wanted to win, but at the same time they hit a lot of tough shots," Paul said. "I love All-Star Games, and I was telling people asking me if I was going to get the MVP, I told them to don't put their money on me because I'm not going to hit 25 or 30 points." Today, he will compete in the Skills Challenge event against Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash, the reigning MVP; Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade and Cleveland forward LeBron James.
