As much as I hate them, great trade for the Lakers.
They have probably the 2nd best starting five behind the Celtics now, and Crittendon is stashed behind Farmar and Sasha. Good move for Grizz to, they're a mess, and Gasol doesn't fit Iavorini's system.
Good move all around.

Gasol is skilled but he's soft. The Lakers still lose to the Spurs, Mavs, Celts, Pistons, Suns, and Hornets.

I find it hard to believe that any other player in the NBA can be regarded as soft compared to Kwame Brown.

Who's comparing him to Kwame? -Dre Anybody should who is forecasting how good the Lakers are going to be now. Kwame's minutes are pretty much going to Gasol. When Bynum was in the lineup the Lakers had a winning record against those teams you already listed as better. The Suns can't stop Bynum. Detroit beat them by 1 at home just yesterday without Bynum. The Lakers blew out the Hornets the last time they faced them. Only the Celtics strike me as a team that has handled the Lakers pretty easily this season.

A 7 game series is A LOT different than a few regular season matchups.
Although I guess I will give them a fighting chance against PHX and NOH.
