I didn't realize that in the last 20 years only two players from the East have won MVP. Michael Jordan (5 times) Allen Iverson (Once) The West has dominated this award for awhile www.nba.com/history/awards_mvp.html

1. Kobe 2. Lebron 3. CP3 4. Dwight Howard 5. KG
That's my list. Kobe has been amazing and i think he deserves the award, but i can't believe the Lebron hate in this thread! He's averaging 31/8/8 and has had an absolutely incredible season...he could do anything he wants on the floor.
CP3 is also having a sick season; he is one of my favorite players.

Its not about hating Lebron. Its about hating the media that has denied Kobe any chance at getting the past three years MVP because of his team's record now embracing a player whose team wouldn't even make the playoffs in the West.

so when I originally did this poll, I took Kobe hands down. but a month has passed and the season is drawing to an end, and mvp vote has changed. so I'm the biggest Kobe fan in the world, but there is something that a player is doing that hasn't been done in years, and that player is CP3. what Kobe is doing has been done. But with what CP3 is doing, you won't see again, not to mention the Hornets are first in the West. so I'm sure I lost my Laker pass for this, but I gotta call it the way I see it. Chris Paul is the NBA mvp

Agreed, Kobe with Paul 2nd. I concur. Take either of those players off there respected teams and they might not even make the playoffs.

Take Nash off the Suns, and they wouldn't make the playoffs or be that good, so is he the MVP then?

Kobe, easy. Chris Paul is the only other one with a case. How can you even argue Lebron? It's the same issue as in baseball. Until they name it the "Best Player Award", someone on a crappy team should not win it.

damn, i have no idea, its a 3 man race though, for what ever reason, bish your an idiot thinking Lebron isn't a good choice... how can a guy that is averaging the points, assists, and rebounds he is.... and the way his team would be with out him... ok... Starting 5 for the cavs at SF... Donyell Marshall... ROFLMAO... this team is 20-62...
as for CP3, yeah, he is absolutely amazing... BUT the lakers were on top BEFORE gasol came... how can a team that was a question to make the playoffs, lead the mighty western confrence with 2.5 decent starters... Odom sucked the first half and bynum was terrific, but kobe was amazing
Kobe=MVP

Put the Cavs in the West and they'd practically be 20-62. You simply can't make a case for Lebron over Kobe, Paul, possibly even Garnett. Again, it's the MVP, not the "Best Statistical Season Award".
