Thomas Jones to the Jets should be pretty nice for them. And a heaven for fantasy owners that have him.
Brad Johnson going to the Cowboys isn't bad too. He'll be their starter by week 6.

Just stating the facts that he looks better as a runner if he isn't the only quality runner on the team. But who doesn't I guess...

I'm a huge Seahawks fan, but I have to pay homage to the Off Season moves that Nolan, and York have made in San Fran. Unless we can grab a Guard, and a DB, I think the 49ers might give us a huge run for our money when it comes to winning the NFC West. And that really hurts to say!

some recent moves: Houston gets Matt Schaub for a heckload of seconds Houston cuts David Carr( ) instead of trying to trade him Eagles acquire LB Takeo Spikes and QB Kelly Holcombe from the Bills for DT Darwin Walker and a conditional 7th round pick

Who would have given anything for David Carr? Every team in the league knows that the Texans would HAVE to cut him because they can't pay him AND Schaub.
I'm not a huge Schaub fan to be honest. He'll get his chance now, but it's gonna be the same thing unless they get an O-line.

I like Spikes though. If he can stay healthy, I think he's a very talented LB.

exactly. That's why the Texans should have dealt Carr earlier imo. He's too good to not get anything, heck a 4th round pick might have been possible(Carolina? Oakland?). I feel Schaub was way overpaid, 2 seconds? At least Carr could avoid a sack here and there, Schaub isnt as athletic.
I love the Spikes pickup as an Eagles fan. They gave up pretty much nothing(they signed Reagor to take Walker's spot), and Spikes could be a very good strongside linebacker.

Detroit, Seattle(depending on what they feel about Hasselback), and others should probably be going hard after Carr. Seattle and Carolina the hardest imo. Carr is a young guy still, and would push either starter(Delhomme/Hasselback). The loser of those battles could be solid bait or a good backup. I think if Carolina and Seattle want to be consistantly in the playoffs, they have to upgrade at QB, and I think Carr would be a big time upgrade. Detroit I could see, especially since they'd probably draft 5 WR's this yr, and need someone to throw them the ball(Kitna's there isnt he?). Oakland I could see if they want to take Calvin Johnson and trade Moss for more mid round picks. Green Bay as Favre's successor? Heck even Miami(is Culpepper the starter? Will he be better than last yr?). Too many teams have ? marks for Houston to just cut Carr, with or without Schaub.
