Detroit, Seattle(depending on what they feel about Hasselback), and others should probably be going hard after Carr. Seattle and Carolina the hardest imo. Carr is a young guy still, and would push either starter(Delhomme/Hasselback). The loser of those battles could be solid bait or a good backup. I think if Carolina and Seattle want to be consistantly in the playoffs, they have to upgrade at QB, and I think Carr would be a big time upgrade. Detroit I could see, especially since they'd probably draft 5 WR's this yr, and need someone to throw them the ball(Kitna's there isnt he?). Oakland I could see if they want to take Calvin Johnson and trade Moss for more mid round picks. Green Bay as Favre's successor? Heck even Miami(is Culpepper the starter? Will he be better than last yr?). Too many teams have ? marks for Houston to just cut Carr, with or without Schaub. you really think carr is an upgrade to either hasselbeck or delhomme? i'm not sure i see that. but oakland or detroit could be great fits. or in miami as a backup, but at this point, carr has the power to choose. green bay could be a really good opportunity. also, tampa bay with no clear cut starter.

At the very least, I think Carr could push Delhomme and Hasselback to be better. I didnt think either played particularly well last yr(although I may be mistaken, I dont watch much football from either team), and I believe that those two are more incumbents that are respected, moreso than championship quality qb's. However, having said that, I know they've been in the SB recently, I just dont know if they'd get back there without having competition. It couldnt hurt at least, and Carolina just cut Weinke.
I dunno about Tampa Bay though, I think they're still high on Simms and Gradkowski, and they just signed Jeff Garcia. So they do have options.

I don't think there's any way he even challenges either of the Carolina or Seattle QBs. He's a good QB, no doubt, but I think he'll sign some where that he knows he has a good chance on playing.

I dunno about Tampa Bay though, I think they're still high on Simms and Gradkowski, and they just signed Jeff Garcia. So they do have options. for exactly the reason you say - that both delhomme and hasselbeck have both been to super bowl's recently, and hasselbeck was in the playoffs this past season, that is why i think they are certainly championship quality QB's. who did delhomme take over for - frickin' rodney peete! i don't think these guys need any competition - just insurance backups, and i can't see david carr wanting any part of that. it doesn't seem to me that tampa bay is that high on simms right now. why else did they sign jeff garcia? garcia wouldn't have gone to tampa bay if he wasn't going to at least get a serious shot at being a starter. but jon gruden has always loved to hoarde QB's - a free shot at david carr might be right up his alley seeing that with simms recovering still, they are not ultra deep at QB.

You are crazy if you think David Carr is an upgrade to hassleback or Delhome.

Is David Carr a shitty QB or a capable QB made to look shitty by a horrible O-Line? The world will soon find out. I can hardly wait!

Either way Hassleback and Delhomme are more than capable QB's. They are pro-bowlers.
Carr is no pro-bowler regardless of his line.
