Being from Minnesota, gotta brag about my boy Peterson. 8 games into his NFL career sets the all time rush record for a single game. 296 yards. His 2nd game of more than 200 yards. Is he's not Rookie of the Year, I'll run naked in every state in the union.

Without a doubt Adrian Peterson is the hottest player in the NFL right now. No team can stop him. He's shredded some good defenses too.
However... didn't the same thing happen in college? First year great... what happened after that?

If he avoids injury... that's a big if. So far he's been able to but you know one will come one of these days and how that affects him for the rest of his career will be interesting to watch.

Avoiding injury is a big deal for any player in the NFL, especially at runningback. Many injuries are flukey...like when Peterson dove into the end zone and broke his collar bone. After a player gets injured more than once, I guess they are automatically labeled "injury prone" now. The bigger question, which in turn will help him avoid injury, is when will the Vikes get a passing game? Can you imagine if they still had Moss and a decent Qb...my goodness.

But Stork forgot to add the Lions, and Saints to that list. Saints will win ten this year, and might make the Superbowl IMO. They just got off to a slow start. The Lions have the weapons and Kitna is playing great, so I'm not sleeping on the Lions either

They got their asses handed to them by a Minnesota team with no passing game and a so-so defense. And - the NY Giants are every bit as good as the Titans or Jags.

lol @ giants. They've beaten a bunch of nobodies, the only decent team they beat was Washington and that was only because of a miracle goal-line stand as time expired. I wouldn't be surprised if they finished 8-8.
Detroit might belong on that list, maybe the Saints too - but I'm not sold on either of them right now.
The Chargers are a great team with a terrible coach. They definitely belong on the list.

Since then they have won six straight. Mark my words, they will beat the Patriots in their final regular season game of the year.
