Illinois/Hawaii in the Sugar would have sold just as many tickets and would have been a much better game. How do you know the Sugar would have vetoed UGA going to the Rose? Are you on the selection committee? How do you know that Illinois vs. Hawaii would've sold as many tickets or been any better game than UGA vs. Hawaii - are you psychic? It was mentioned and well publicized before the picks were finalized on selection day that the Sugar Bowl wanted an SEC team. Why - they are in SEC country and want to sell as many tickets as possible. Shorter travel distances typically = more butts in seats. It's all about the $$.

Illinois and Hawaii both deserved a good bowl game but not a top tier one. In a year Illinois may be deserving but now they are not. I hate the BCS and so far the first two games showed that the system is flawed. I am a Notre Dame fan and we always get the top tier invite way too often that we do not deserve and thats why we havent won a bowl game in 13 some odd years.

OK - I'm up for a friendly wager. I'll take the Illini +14 any day and twice on Sunday (or in this case Tuesday). So - it's put up or shut up time. What's the wager gonna be? so you are not as confident as you were just a few posts ago when you said you could win outright.... grow a set sally I will not be wishy washy like you and will stick to my guns I will take that wager ..... what should the stakes be? Too bad you didnt have the sac to respond to this....I could have offered you twice the spread and still won... again, not your fault you are a typical Illini fan, you love your team and you think they are better than they really are.....

Hey - I offered, but obviously you weren't as confident then as you are now that the game's over because you wouldn't wager the naming rights to your first-born child. You talk a big game now that it's in the past.

The ball was in your court and you were too scared to back up the words you spewed out.

I HATE BOWLS! They should have a 6 team playoff, with the top 2 getting a bye.
