McNair officially a Raven after physical
Ravens acquired Steve McNair for a conditional fourth-round pick after he passed a physical Thursday.
McNair, never known for his study habits, will undergo a crash course with offensive coordinator Jim Fassel in July to learn the Ravens offense. While there is solid skill position talent in Baltimore, the team's questionable offensive line may decide McNair's fate in 2006.

Daunte Culpepper "might" practice twice-a-day at Dolphins minicamp this weekend.
This is an interesting time in Culpepper's development. Fans and reporters will get their best look at Culpepper and his progress. By all accounts, the Dolphins would now be surprised if he wasn't ready for Week 1. The Dolphins won't rule out him playing in the first exhibition game.

Chiefs add Reed to DT mix
Chiefs agreed to terms with DT James Reed, formerly of the Jets, on a one-year contract.
The deal is believed to be for the veteran's minimum, $585,000. Reed, a five-year veteran, is coming off easily the most productive season of his career. He could push Lional Dalton, Ryan Sims, John Browning, and Ron Edwards to start along the Chiefs' defensive front.
Rams sign DT Jason Fisk
Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Rams signed DT Jason Fisk, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year contract.
Fisk, 33, was released by Cleveland in March. As the Browns' starting nose tackle, he contributed on 39 stops in 2005. Fisk considered retirement in the offseason but comes to St. Louis where he'll likely be part of a rotation with Jimmy Kennedy, La'Roi Glover, and rookie Claude Wroten.
RB Davis may have had setback in knee rehab
Source: houstontexans.com
RB Domanick Davis (knee surgery) was unable to practice Wednesday.
Davis, rehabbing from arthroscopic knee surgery underwent last December, didn't start to run until May. He was seen working on a stationary bike but has reportedly had a setback in his already-slow rehab. "I’m confident it’s going to heal up because the way it feels now, it’s a whole lot better," Davis said. "When I put pressure on it, it responds well. It doesn’t swell up like it use to, so that’s a very good sign."
McNair's agent pleads for action

Steve McNair's agent pleaded Tuesday for the Titans to take action in regards to his client.
"Keep him under the contract he has, trade him, cut him or start trying to get a new deal done with the starting point being what's on the table from the Ravens," agent Bus Cook told the AP. Titans coach Jeff Fisher said he might hold McNair out of OTAs next week if the quarterback showed up and a deal elsewhere was imminent. Titans owner Bud Adams made it clear he wants McNair to take a paycut. Many believe the Titans are just holding onto McNair until Baltimore's minicamp wrap up this week.

Saints acquire WR Johnson for draft bust Sullivan
Source: FoxSports.com
Saints acquired WR Bethel Johnson for DT Johnathan Sullivan.
Johnson was far from guaranteed to make the Patriots roster. In New Orleans, he'll compete with Michael Lewis for return duties and take on Devery Henderson for the No. 3 receiver role. It could give the Saints more flexibility to trade Donte' Stallworth, but they are likely to be disappointed if they expect Johnson to produce.
Saints wheeling, deal LB Watson for TE Euhus
Bills acquired LB Courtney Watson from the Saints for TE Tim Euhus.
Both players were on the roster bubble with their former clubs. We like the new fit for Watson in particular. An athletic linebacker, Watson's skills could be an asset in the Bills' Cover 2. Adding Euhus to the Saints' tight end corps could make it tougher for Zach Hilton and Ernie Conwell to make the roster.
Patriots keep lineman Hochstein through 2008
Source: ESPN.com
Patriots extended G Russ Hochstein's contract through 2008.
The deal runs an extra two years, including $1.8 million in "new money" and a $400,000 signing bonus. Hochstein has been a valuable player at guard and center since starting during the team's last Super Bowl run.

Chester Taylor out of shape?
Source: vikings.scout.com
Scout.com reports Chester Taylor reported to minicamps out of shape.
Taylor, who has a chance for big numbers in Brad Childress' offense, apparently hasn't scored points with the coaching staff at early workouts. While at this point it appears he's unlikely to be overtaken for a starting job, Taylor is a player to watch very closely during training camp.
