Young at Betty Ford Center

A local radio station is reporting that Dmitri Young has entered the Betty Ford Center, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
The Detroit News also reported Friday that Young was "undergoing treatment at an undisclosed rehabilitation center." It doesn't sound like Young will be back even once his injured quadriceps heals.
6/8 Updates
Prior goes five innings in third rehab start
Mark Prior allowed three runs and four hits in five innings of a rehab start for Double-A West Tenn on Thursday night.
Three of the hits and all three runs came in the first inning. Prior consistently worked at 90 mph tonight, which qualifies as his best velocity so far. "I felt good," he said. "I think when I needed to go get something I was able to go get it." Prior's next start is expected to come Tuesday for Triple-A Iowa.
Wood remains questionable to start Sunday
No additional problems were found in Kerry Wood's shoulder during an examination by Dr. Tim Kremchek in Cincinnati on Wednesday.
"We were pleased with the results of the exam," Cubs trainer Mark O'Neal said. "Basically, we're dealing with post-throwing soreness. He has a little joint irritation, and there's no injury there. I think it was good to have him come in and see Dr. Kremchek. It's the first time [Kremchek] has seen him since we started doing things this spring, so I think it was a good experience for Kerry." Wood remains questionable to make his scheduled start on Sunday. The Cubs will make a decision on Friday.
Sheffield to undergo wrist surgery next week

Yankees GM Brian Cashman said Gary Sheffield will have surgery on his left wrist on Tuesday. He's not expected back until September.
Sheffield was trying to rehab the torn ligament and dislocated tendon in his left wrist, but the injury figured to be too severe for him to play through. It now seems guaranteed that Melky Cabrera will be a regular, at least until the final month of the season. The Yankees also likely will trade for some outfield help at some point.
Harden goes back on DL with elbow injury
Athletics placed RHP Rich Harden on the disabled list, retroactive to June 5, with a sprained elbow ligament.
Harden lasted just one start between injuries, coming off the DL from a back problem on Sunday. The A's don't expect Harden to need an operation, but this kind of thing can lead to Tommy John surgery. It's going to depend on whether he can throw pain-free a couple of weeks from now.
