My top 3 for McCain:
1. Huckabee 2. Romney 3. Crist
Top three for Obama:
1. Ed Rendell 2. John Edwards 3. Tom Daschle
For VP, I don't like the whole political move for the slot, I like it when they get along, and there's no bad blood between the two, like Lyndon Johnson and JFK, and like it would be if Obama choose Hillary. So, I think for McCain, Huckabee would be the best choice just because he a traditional conservative that McCain likes, and he would bring out those christian conservatives the McCain is lacking to the table. I like the other tow, with Romeny and Crist, but Romney and McCain are two very different people, but he would help with the economy issues, and with Crist, his style is too much like McCain, so I don't know if he would bring out those core conservatives, but Crist is a very popular republican governor.
As for Obama, I think Ed Rendell makes the most sense. Just because he was a Hillary supporter, and he would bring out those white blue collar workers to come and vote for him. Rendell is a very popular governer in a crucial state for Obama, and plus, Rendell is a fiery type of guy, and he would come across great with the Appalacian voters. John Edwards may have lost with Kerry, but I think that was more about Kerry's character the Edwards. Edwards and Obama look like they would get along, and the problem would be that they get along too much, and with the VP, you want a little difference in personality and and style, and I think that they're too similar in that. Tom Daschle would be a great choice, and he brings the experience factor to the campaign. The only problem is that he's a Obama supporter from a small state. Obama needs to make a strategic move with the pick, but still, I like Daschle, and you know he has Obama's back, and they get along.
The Hillary saga after last night is sad, putting Obama in a tough situation. I can't stand her, and she is everything that Obama is against, and would not be the right choice. If he does pick her, than he looks weak, and gave in to the Clintons. If he doesn't, then it looks like he overlooked her on purpose, and many women and her supporters would be upset because he didn't. i think it is very that it has come to this point for her, and we all gave her a chance to bow out gracefully, and last night, she had the chance to do so, and she blew it. On a big stage, she could of told her supporters to go to Obama, and let's take back Washington. Instead, she said, if you want my supporters, then you have to take me, which goes to show her character, and now I am convinced that she does not care about the Party, but more about winning.

For McCain, I think Romney is a better choice than Huckabee. Huckabe's supporters by and large are voting for McCain, because they won't be voting for Obama, and they're not exactly libertarian types. Romney gives McCain a shot at MA. Crist might be good, and there are others - Ron Paul, maybe?
Edwards makes some sense for Obama as does Daschle. I have known for a loooong time that Ed Rendell (ex-chair of the DNC, by the way) could be a VP candidate. I voted for him for gov, and I don't regret the choice, given the other options. He's underwhelmed me after overwhelming me as mayor of Philly - I didn't think he'd be good. Part of the problem is his image with a hand-picked incompetent replacent as mayor, and part of it is that he simply has done some really dumb things. However, he almost certainy can deliver PA. In the 1st gov election, Republicans wanted to vote for him in the primary, so people crossed over to dem in the Philly suburbs.
Hillary really needs to go away. I am almost convinced we won't have 4 more years of Bush - by that I mean Hillary. She's exactly what we don't need - a prima donna attitude who won't listen. I don't think she's completely done yet - she could surface as a VP, or via some back-room machination, or something more sinister.
There's at least one scenario where I vote 3rd party, and it's Huckabee & Clinton as the VP's. If that happens, I can't in good conscience vote for either of those two tickets - I'd be very afraid of what would happen if Huckabee or Clinton got into the Presidency.

I think Obama should have a Mexican guy, that way in case anybody thinks of assisinating him, they will think twice cause the Mexican guy will open up the border if he gets in,lol. Sorry, stole that from a Dave chappelle skit. I miss that show.

I think Hillary for the same reason, If a racist person wanted to assasinate him they might think twice if it would put a female in as president.

Hillary's white in case you haven't noticed. 2. She's a Clinton, and some people died suspiciously that were related to Whitewater, etc.

I think that someone who wouldn't want a black man as president probably wouldnt want a woman as well, therfore Obama picking Hillary would be a safe bet. Sometimes its hard to tell sarcasm on the net but thats what this is.

Bigots come in many shapes, colors & sizes. My Obama yard sign got some interesting comments here in PA - almost none of them good, but I got crap from multiple races. 1. i could care less about McSame.....
onto the future president....
I haven't made up my mind who I like the best...
edwards affair crap probably rules him out.....might also make him lose the cabinet seat he was heading for...
cross clinton off the list.....just complicates matters too much....plus then there is bill in the background...
I'm not a fan of Evan Bayh b/c he was such a strong supporter of the ridciculous Iraq war....
I have no idea who this Nunn guy is from Georgia.....he looks too old in his pictures....
There is mention of the female Governor of Kansas.....but I'd rather not piss off all the clinton supporters by picking a different female....
I don't want Biden b/c he is in the pockets of the credit card companies since he is from Deleware...
So, I have 7 names I like at the moment....I'm sure there are more, but this is what I got....
1. Time Kaine - The gov of Virgina....has strong religious ties....speaks fluent spanish....is the governor of likely the newest swing state....downside is that the lieutenant governor is a republican who would replace him at the state level....
2. Bill Richardson - I like the Latino flavor....New Mexico was the closest vote in Bush-Kerrey, with less than 1000 votes deciding the outcome....he has solid credentials and a cool beard....
3. Colin Powell - Here is my darkhorse.....I like his credentials and mostly non-partisan views....we would blow McSame out of the water on Iraq if he was VP...
4. Chuck Hagel - I've always liked Hagel....I'm not a fan of his social views per se, but his foriegn policy stuff is spot on.....again, he makes Iraq our best issue...and likely could help with votes in the surprisingly competitive upper north states....if he isn't VP, he has a cabinet spot locked up.....
5. Wes Clark - I've always liked Clark....even with this big mouth.....He's no nonesense....I thought he would be a good Pres candidate, so VP is natural....downside is he doesn't help with the economy....
6. Daschle - I like Daschle, but he is likely headed to a cabinet posiition....still I think he is a solid choice....
7. Chris Dodd - He is probably the most progressive Dem in the Senate....so he resonates with me the best....but being from Conn, likely makes his nationwide appeal less....
other names I just thought of....
the senator from Wisconsin....Russ Feingold....he's a great progressive Dem too...
and John Tester from Montana....he will be on the national scene soon enough....this could be his chance.....

i like joe biden, he is catholic, like myself, so we share a lot of those same types of views, plus he adds muchos exerpience to the ticket. However, his experience also means he has his hands in cookie jars (like credit card companies).
Colon Powell would badass. I think if he picked him McCain wouldnt know what to do. Powell would put the metaphorical pimp slap to mccain on Iraq and such issues. Powell would prob not do it, but if he did, man that would be a WOW ticket.
In reality i think it will be Kaine, at least if i had to bet money, thats who i put it on.
