Guys who are "incredibly strong" can exploit that on the college level where there aren't any strong players left. Not so in the NBA. He won't be nearly as "incredibly strong" in the league
Not the player I wanted to see my team take at 5. How long till Chris Wallace gets his settlement? He's working hard for it.
It's only worse for the Knicks. No one knows the italian guy they took. Not that he won't be good but for the city that was looking at the draft as their source of basketball excitement to get a name they never heard about is as depressing as it gets. Eric Gordon looked like a great fit but heard good things about this guy too.
On another note from someone who doesn't follow college basketball that much, are number at Kansas State easier to get by any chance? I don't care about how "imature" people say a 19 year old star is, I don't understand how could chicago pass on those freakish numbers. In a draft it seems to me that it's better to aim high and fail than go with the safe pick. The higher the risk, the higher the reward. And I'm pretty sure I could come with a few more clichés for this one. I'm way better with clichés than with draft predictions.

I love the Heat draft.
PG: Chalmers SG: Wade SF: Wright PF: Beasley C: ?
Wade-Beasley can be the most explosive 1-2 punch in the league.
Depending on what we get for Marion and Haslem, we have a very young and explosive team. Chalmers and Wade will be able to shut down backcourts. Hopefully Beasley gets a bit better at D. Wright showed last year he could be a good role player while center will be an interesting position that needs to be filled.
We're in good shape for this year and the future. Just need Wade to stay healthy...

I hope the Heat keep Marion and play him at SF. They can start Haslem at center and I think he can be very productive there. Between Beasley. Haslem and Marion....I think the Heat will be pretty good on the boards.
I'm excited about the Heat again. Between the Heat and Grizz....it was a great night!

I actually like the T-Wolves side of the big deal.
Long-term Love > 3 years of Mayo.
Miller's nice too.
As a 76er fan, I'm happy with the guy they got - he's not some guy who is supposedly a NBA big who I outweigh.

regarding pau.....the front office fucked up when they gave him that max contract.....almost forced our hand to unload him for an expiring contract once our team went to shit.... way behind on this, but this exact situation came pretty close to resembling the situation boston was in with paul pierce. a player who wasn't a franchise player, not deserving of the money, and almost had to unload him for little. it's too bad chris wallace, who helped to continue the destruction of the celtics had to make his mark on the grizzlies, but hopefully they can get rid of him and start anew soon.

I like it for the Wolves, since they get Love and Miller, but still like it for my Grizz because Mayo has the talent to be the best player in the deal. Despite being a small SG, Mayo is also a better perimeter defender than Miller, something we desperately need. Conley, Mayo, and Gay have the talent to be a damn good trio.

Yep....I watch just about all the Heat games. Haslem does a good job at his size. There's only so many real centers in the league that teams need to worry about.

If you believe the reason why the Grizzlies have sucked is because Gasol was overpaid by a few million dollars . As evidenced by the SI article I posted in the other thread there are not a lot of flawless franchise players in this league.

I'm pretty upset at the Spurs draft.
Why you take George freaking Hill over a proven point guard like Mario Chalmers is beyond me, especially when you need help in the first place at the wing position first handedly (Chris Douglas Roberts?!). Malik Hairsten was an ok pick, probably best available at that spot, but George Hill is an unheard of player, I really wanted Roberts, Chalmers, or because he fell so far, Arthur.
