if I believe what? i'm rarely wrong on griz related matters.... If you believe the reason why the Grizzlies have sucked is because Gasol was overpaid by a few million dollars . As evidenced by the SI article I posted in the other thread there are not a lot of flawless franchise players in this league. building around pau as the franchise player hurt the Grizzlies more than it helped them.... plain and simple.... i'll debate pau and the griz till the cows come home if you won't....... i've been on the griz message board for 5 years now (getting close to 15,000 posts, I believe) and my arguments and points are battle tested.....

I'm pretty upset at the Spurs draft. Why you take George freaking Hill over a proven point guard like Mario Chalmers is beyond me, especially when you need help in the first place at the wing position first handedly (Chris Douglas Roberts?!). Malik Hairsten was an ok pick, probably best available at that spot, but George Hill is an unheard of player, I really wanted Roberts, Chalmers, or because he fell so far, Arthur. I still hate the Spurs but Hill's solid. He coulda been had later but I think you'll like him -Dre

There is nothing to debate. You have an illogical belief that Pau Gasol is the source of all of the Grizzlies problems. He's a great player who is slightly overpaid. Its not even remotely unique in this league. Hell on the Lakers he is the 4th most overpaid player on the team at worst (Odom, Radmonavich, Walton). The reason why the Grizzlies could never get over the hump begins and ends with that ridiculous Otis Thorpe trade.

The first thing I have to say is that the New York Crowd is a very good example of the "Hate what you dont know" attitude that some (maybe many) Americans have. Gallinari is a very talented player and will make the adjustements to the NBA Game. He will be a great player among a team which sucked big time the last couple of years. The rest of the Draft went okay, no "Renaldo Balkman incidents" as I like to call them

the grizz had a good draft getting Mayo and Arthur... Miller will be old when the Grizz are competetive, and Love isn't going to be anything more then a decent starter, where Mayo has the potential to be the best player in the DRAFT

haslem is about the same size as beasley - you're aware of this right? Yep....I watch just about all the Heat games. Haslem does a good job at his size. There's only so many real centers in the league that teams need to worry about. i would think a great majority of teams would destroy haslem and his 6'8'' size at center. a good reserve forward yes, but not a starting center. most teams are getting bigger at center it seems, not smaller.

He does give the team an excited buzz, though and they need that.

ya agreed, it should also help put people in the arena... something this team needs...
Kevin Love will be a average player with not very much room to be a big bust or a superstar, where as Mayo is a huge risk player with a bigger ceiling... that is what i was trying to say
