Just saw that. Very interesting. Chauncey I think would work better in Denver, than Ivo in Detroit.

Great trade for both teams.
Gives more balance to the Denver lineup, Billups is still a solid player. Lets face it, the Iverson-Melo combo didn't work as well as some perceived. I think this makes both teams better, because Detroit was definitely due for a change. Only thing is, does that mean AI is their PG? He's more of a SG, as experiments in Philly and Denver showed, AI doesn't run the point as smoothly as say...Billups, lol. Still, I like an Iverson-Rip backcourt, great combination of slashing and shooting. Going back East gives AI the opportunity to be on a #2, #3 seed team as well.

yeah i think this one breaks even, both teams benefit, granted, in very different ways, but i think both addressed a need. now we can see if detroit can really get bron bron. talk about ratcheting up the detroit/cleveland rivalry...
in other news, how about our memphis grizz? 2-2 playing some solid ball. marc gasol and D. arthur showing good signs early on. OJ mayo is solid. In fact, in a complete reversal of where the grizz fans thought they would be, our PG situation is our biggest question mark right now. Also, the loss of mike miller is 10 times more evident thant he loss of pau gasol. We suck from the outside right now.

Isn't everyone going after Lebron?
Anyways, yeah, Houston is the best team on paper when they have injuries every year. I think there a good team, but they need to stay healthy before people (or you) make that claim.

Seems to me that this trade for the Pistons has nothing to do with how they wanted to makes changes talent wise. They love AI contract. They don't love AI.

As a Pistons fan..I'm thrilled with the deal. Actually, the Pistons have been after AI for a long time. In 2000 they actually had a deal in place with the Sixers but Matt Geiger was involved and wouldn't waive his no trade clause.

And that was the year Philly went to the Finals.

Finally the Spurs get a freaking win! Tony went off, 55 points, 10 assists, 7 boards. Only the 2nd point guard in NBA history to get a 50-10-5 game.
Hoping this starts something, I'm still surprised they barely beat the Wolves, but Roger Mason is looking like a superb pickup, had 24 last night and is nailing everything from outside. I can pray.

hmm, wasn't Artest on that team that went to the 2000 finals.... don't say he hasn't won anything....
But they did lose to the best team of this decade.....
GO LAKERS!
