So who do you guys see as being the #1 or 2 seeds in the NCAA tournament? Anybody you see getting upset in their conference tournaments?
I am hoping that the Pittsburgh Panthers can keep doing well. If they get a decent run in the Big East tournament, a #1 seed should be a lock.
I also think that the SEC tournament could be a crazy one - almost anyone could take it.

So far I would say Pitt, UNC, Uconn, and Memphis
I think the Pac 10 tourney will be crazy, as well as the ACC. Normally the ACC has an upset team winning a few games

Memphis shouldn't be a #1 seed when they play in a shitty league.

Memphis shouldn't be a #1 seed when they play in a shitty league. They can't control their conference, plus they said the same thing last season............... how far did Memphis go? As long as they schedule a tough non conference schedule, I'm not mad at them. If you look at pre season rankings, and who they played based off of that you can't say they dodged anyone in non conference schedule.

Past those two I think any two from Louisville, UConn, Oklahoma, or Michigan State. If the season ended today I'd give it to Pitt, UNC, Louisville, and UConn.

They're a good team and have been very impressive, no doubt - but I think there have been other equally impressive teams who did it against top competition all season long. And those are the teams that deserve the #1 seeds.

Right, and there not close to the team they had last year. No Dorsey, no Rose, and no Roberts. Yes, they have Tyreke Evans, but he's not better than Rose...and they lost some inside presence. And I never said they can't control there conference, but you still have to take that into consideration. There a #2 seed.

Look at the NBA and how many players are contributing for their teams. Its unreal.

I have no problem with Michigan St, Louisville, or Oklahoma (depending if they win the big 12) However, I think Memphis is as worthy as all others. I think it's just a matter of what you consider a one seed.

But there are still teams more worthy of Memphis for the #1 seed...who plays absolute shit in there conference and haven't been battle-tested for awhile.

I think that the strength of Memphis's conference schedule is that tiebreaker.

I don't mind if Memphis gets a 2 seed, but even with their shitty conference they didn't lose to anyone as bad as Arkansas like Oklahoma did. Their only current loss to an unranked team is Georgetown, who at the time was actually decent and also beat Connecticut 3 games later. I don't think Evans is the next great thing, but we haven't lost since he moved to PG. We tried 3 different players at PG before we settled on Evans and anytime you're constantly changing the PG position there's going to be some chemistry issues. Our losses were by 5 points, 9 points, and 7. I can't guarantee it obviously, but I honestly think we would have won at least one maybe two of those games had Evans been the PG in all 3 games.

I also think we'd be better with a real PG. Evans is a good freshman, but is absurdly raw at the PG position. Mostly he just drives to the basket and jacks up shots. He definitely needs to come back next season, but probably won't since most players are one and done these days.

Pitt, UNC, OK (pending win of big 12), Memphis.
I thought we put to bed all that "memphis plays a shitty out of conf. schedule" buisness last year. They play the big boys in the non-conf and played well. They cant help it the C-USA sucks balls , all they can do is play the games, and they do, and win them all.
Michigan St. would be my 5th if Oklahoma loses, if they both lose, then well i dont fucking know.
I am an SEC fan so i will be watching that suck-fest. They should just play spring football games to determine who gets in b/c the basketball about to be unleashed on tampa florida is HORRIBLE. BAD BAD BAD. I hope ole miss can win 4 in a row, and really there is no reason they cant, no one is unbeatable in the SEC. I wouldnt be surprised if ANYBODY won it, well, except maybe georgia.
