(1) (27) Indianapolis Colts - DT Peria Jerry, Ole Miss
The Colts have had nightmares since little LT lit their run defense up in the playoffs and Jerry is the best DT remaining on the board
Also considered
DT Fili Moala, USC DT Evander "Ziggy" Hood, Missouri

(1) (28) Philadelphia Eagles (Carolina Panthers)- OT William Beatty UCONN
We need a left Tackle and we, to me, get the best one available...he blocked for a hell of a rusher named Donald Brown and he was strong and smart at protecting the QB. LT was a MUST with Tra Thomas gone to Jacksonville.
Other Players Considered: OT Eben Britton (But he was a RT and we needed a guy at the LT position), WR Kenny Britt and Hakeem Nicks (We figure these guys could slide down to us, but if not LT was a much bigger need at this point. Plus, we could get a deal done for Anquan Boldin.)

(1)(29) NY Giants - WR Hakeem Nicks UNC
Giants dont have many wholes but WR is one and by far the biggest. Nicks is the last of the upper Tier WR at least IMO.
Other players Donald Brown RB UCON with ward gone they could use another RB if the team is unsold on bradshaw

1 (30) Tennessee Titans- DE Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech
The Titans have a hard on for workout warriors and have little understanding of what a value pick is often taking players a round or more before they're projected. Johnson is a freak and what better way to enter the NFL than to team with The Freak Jevon Kearse. Kearse is getting long in the tooth and Vanden Bosch fought injuries last season. They need a WR, but haven't taken one in the first round since Kevin Dyson in 98, and they just signed Nate Washington.
Others Considered:
Robert Ayers- Some project him higher, but as mentioned Titans have a thing for athletic sideshows.
Kenny Britt- They need WR help in the worst way, but they're a defensive minded team that refuses to get Young/Collins any help.
Evander Hood- As a Haynesworth replacement.
DJ Moore- Nick Harper is 35 so it's only a matter of time before his body breaks down.

(1)(31) Arizona Cardinals - HB LeSean McCoy
Edgerrin James isn't getting any younger and he wants to be released. JJ Arrington has already left the team and Tim Hightower still hasn't shown any real consistency. The Cardinals made it clear that they plan to build around Kurt Warner and that means they need a competent running game. Taking a page out of successful RBBC in Tennesse and Carolina, the Cardinals take McCoy's lightning to match with Hightower's thunder. Having a running game will make Warner, Fitzgerald, Boldin, and Breaston that much more dangerous, a scary thought for the rest of the NFC West.
Other Players Considered: C Alex Mack - The Cardinals could use an upgrade at center and Mack is the only 1st round talent at that position in this draft.
OLB Clint Sintim - Chike Okeafor is aging and the Cardinals need depth behind him and the recently franchised Karlos Dansby. Sintim is the only OLB on the board with 1st round talent.

1 (32) Pittsburgh Steelers select Max Unger C out of Oregon
The Steelers know that championship teams are made in the trenches. Unger is capable of playing C,G and T and for a team with all their offensive lineman starters in their 30s he will be a quality super sub with upside his first year with the team.
Other Players Considered:
C Alex Mack... better center but not as versatile

(2) (33) Detroit Lions - Darius Butler, CB UCONN
Butler is my highest rated CB left and a definite need for Detroit.
Others considered: DJ Moore, Louis Delmas

(2) (2) New England Patriots - TE Brandon Pettigrew, Oklahoma
Can you say "Instant Weapon" Pettigrew will become an instant starter, and an instant second favorite target for Tom Brady. This pick will give teams in the AFC East nightmares, based of of his skill set. A big tight end who blocks, and catches above avg.
Others considered: DJ Moore - CB, Alphonso Smith - CB, Louis Delmas - Safety

(2) (3) St. Louis Rams - WR Kenny Britt
With the release of Torry Holt, the Rams are in serious need of WR talent and depth. Enter Kenny Britt, a big (6-4), physical receiver who is also a willing and strong run blocker, which will help Steven Jackson. Britt is the perfect compliment to the Rams 2nd round pick in 2008, speedy Donnie Avery.
Other Players Considered: ILB Darry Beckwith, ILB Frantz Joseph - The Rams are serious about moving Will Witherspoon to the outside

(2) (4) Cleveland Browns - CB DJ Moore
As bad as the Browns defense is as a whole, the CB spot maybe the worst. DJ could make an instant impact and is a 1st round type guy IMO. Just an extremely athletic player who could also make a difference along side Cribbs returning kicks.
Others Considered: CB Alphonso Smith, RB Donald Brown

(2) (5) Seattle Seahawks - OLB Tyrone McKenzie
Linebacker just became a need for the Seahawks with the recent trade of Julian Peterson. McKenzie is an ideal weak side linebacker with his coverage ability and will fit in well with Tatupu and Hill.
Other Players Considered: OLB Marcus Freeman, Clint Sintim - Sintim is more talented but he's also more of a pass rusher, not great in coverage. Freeman and McKenzie are pretty much interchangeable.
OT Eben Britton - Seahawks still need another long term OT, but Britton doesn't offer very much upside. He does, however, have a high floor, but doesn't ever project to be a dominant LT.
C Alex Mack - Chris Spencer has been injury prone and a disappointment when on the field. Mack has loads of talent but Tim Ruskell may not be ready to give up on Spencer just yet.
S Louis Delmas, William Moore - Brian Russell could be the worst starter in the NFL, the Seahawks need a serious upgrade at safety. However they seem to be smitten with Michael Hamlin and they can afford to wait until the 3rd round for him. However, Ruskell isn't afraid of "reaching" for players he likes (see Taputu, Lofa).

(2) (6) Cincinnati Bengals - C Alex Mack Huge step up from Eric Ghiaciuc, best pure center in the draft.
Other players considered: RB Donald Brown: Bengals really need a running back as well, but I think Benson is a decent back who could thrive in a balanced attack with a good offensive line. Also Chris Perry is still there, and hes still young.

(2) (7) Jacksonville Jaguars - Brian Robiskie WR, Suckeyes
Easy choice for the Jags who are desperate for WR help especially since releasing that bum Matt Jones.

(2) (8) Oakland Raiders select Pat White, QB/WR - West Virginia
Al Davis loves these types of athletes. And with Pat White sitting in the second round, we couldn't help and see the upside of this special athlete, who's just a winner. He has great speed, and was a great QB. But obiviously, the Raiders are content at QB. What Davis and Cable sees is a athlete that can cause some problems. And with the Wildcat offense in full swing in the NFL, visions of Pat White and McFadden in the backfield makes Al smile. He has some upside at WR, which the Raiders need, but he can be a backup QB along with an all purpose guy.
Other players considered:
Derek Peques, Mississippi State-a good saftey, and the Raiders need another one, since Huff isn't panning out like we thought he would.
Derick Gibson-Washington State- Al saw something in Gibson that he really liked, and it just wasn't the school he played at. A good sized reciever, and a great talent, and the only bright spot in a dismal Cougar season.

Biz asked me to step in and try and get this rolling (2)(9) Green Bay Sean Smith, CB/S, Utah
GB is getting very old in that secondary and while Dline is a worry they take the last of the name CB, and get a huge one in smith who is 6"4"
Other consideration Ron brace NT BC Evander Hood DT MU
