So the little brother of Stephen Curry is transferring from Liberty College, to a bigger school. I think this is absolutely the smartest thing he could do. He will end up in the ACC more than likely, and he will be a great fit. I think he will go to Duke, because there style matches his play. Curry avg the most points of any freshman in division 1 basketball sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4012928

The thing is he's good but everyone says he's not his brother either. I think mid-low tier major conference schools will be interested but not the perennial contenders.
I don't think Duke gets him if he comes to the ACC. I could see a team like NC State (Stephen played in NC but not at the Big 3) or VT (they need a SG to pair with Delaney) getting him. I'd love to see him at Maryland but all of our scholarships are tied up unless Vasquez leaves (but we might get Stephenson).
I could see him playing in the Big 12 too... OK State (have graduating guards) and Texas (Jai Lucas and Seth Curry could be the next Augustin-Abrams) are 2 teams I could see him on.
Big East... I don't think he's got a shot unless South Florida, Providence, or Rutgers are appealing to him. I could see Marquette wanting him though. Nova, Cuse, GTown, UCONN, and Pitt don't need him with the recruiting they already are capable of.
SEC... if Anthony Grant gets the Bama opening I could see Grant trying to get Curry to be the guard he builds around. Beyond that, LSU may want him too. Florida might be interested. Beyond that, it's just not a basketball conference.
Pac-10...Maybe USC if Derozan leaves this or next year. Stanford I could see.

Don't forget he has to sit out a year. And he can go to any school he wants, because his family has the money to pay for any school he wants. He can walk on anywhere if he wanted. He has Carolina ties, and Duke isn't very far fethed! He has a coach K type of game, and would be a great fit. He has the chance to be better than his brother, from everything I've seen of him

He's gotta be realistic too. Is he even good enough to get any PT at Duke or other powerhouses?

yes he is! He spent his summer at the Lebron and Steve Nash camps. He has access to his father, and his fathers basketball colleagues and mentors. He has his older brother, who will push him every day in the backyard. This isn't your typical freshman, this is a kid who has more opportunity then 99% of other college players. He probably knows more about the game then 99% as well. Now add that up, and then add in the fact that he gets to red shirt next season and he will only be a sophomore.
Also I think you guys are giving the current Duke team too much credit. If it wasn't for Gerald Henderson, Duke would probably be 4 seed. This isn't the Duke team of Jay Williams and Chris Duhon. No matter what team he goes to, I do think he will have success

This is also a kid that had to go to Liberty.
If he were really that good, Seth Curry would already be at a powerhouse.

This is also a kid that had to go to Liberty. If he were really that good, Seth Curry would already be at a powerhouse. And his brother went to Davidson............... so whats your point? I'm not calling him the next Del Curry, or Steph Curry. But to say a guy who can score 20 in any d-1 school as a freshman, can't make an impact on a more high powered school makes no sense to me.

Yeah I think people have been giving Duke too much credit based on name. Coah K, hasn't had a real great recruiting class since Reddick, Sheldon Williams, and Shavlick Randolph. The ACC is very attractive now, and teams like Tech, Wake, Clemson, and Florida are getting in on some of those recruits who only went to Duke and UNC.

I wouldn't say they don't recruit well. According to Scout and Rivals, they always recruit amazing before any player plays a minute. They get McDonald's All-Americans or other 5 star recruits all the time. The thing is those players haven't panned out (cough Zoubek, McRoberts, Paulus, Thomas cough). They recruit players that are good in high school but rarely recruit based on potential (and athleticism except with Elliott Williams).
The only clear blue chipper so far has been Gerald Henderson who really was one-dimensional until this year where he exploded. Singler may get there by the end of his college career (I could see an Adam Morrison like senior season for him in 2 years).
