Im not brainwashed by religulous, once again you just ignored my whole statement. I said what I got from it was how he questions everything, thats what I do, but of course you skipped passed every statement that said I question things and think that everybody should question things. I believed this way far longer then the recent movie of religulous. I didn't just in the last 2 years after watching the movie think that way, that is dumb. I think they make good points on the questioning of all religions and such. How have you questioned Religulous? Have you done research on the editing process? How you spoken with religious scientists? Have you read books on the subject?

I question any belief that comes from a book, just doesn't make sense to me. Such as why are there so many different religions? Who is right and who is wrong? How does anybody really know that there is a hell or a heaven? I have too many questions that can't be answered, so that is why its hard for me to believe in any of it.

I said that what I got from Religulous is how is main goal is to question religions, I didn't say I question it, I just said his idea is the same idea that I have in questioning religions.

Sorry, but SLO is freaking awesome! Only in SLO would a bunch of sim leaguers get into a deep religious debate.

You said you question everything. I assume that also meant you questioned the integrity and fairness of a "documentary" produced by a devout atheist for the purposes of making money.

All I got from it was what I already thought of questioning different religions, yes he did it to make money, but who cares, more people use the regular angle of believing in a religion to make more money than he made off of that film. I thought more of it was kind of funny on the instances he brought up. I have thought about similar ideas myself about questioning religions and how you can make them comedic, of course I don't have the money backing to come up with my own documentary to make money off of it.
Haven't looked into much, but I think its true, but not for sure. Is it right that churches and people that work for the churches don't pay taxes?

It is right. Churches are considered non-profit organizations. They definitely should not pay taxes, like other NPOs that help people.

Yeah like it was right to waste a bunch of money to campaign "Yes on Prop 8." So, that they can say that certain people who have a certain sexual orientation are wrong because that disagrees with what their bible says. Sounds right to me.

Religulous like any other documentary we see on movies isn't interested in showing both sides of the story. They never are. Their goal is always pretty much set at the start and all they do is try to prove it in a non biased manner. Religulous like Zeitgeist shows some interesting theories on religion but that doesn't make it the whole truth and nothing but the truth. For example I liked most Michael Moore documentaries but it's not like he wasn't againt guns or bush already at the beggining of the movie. Obviously I liked it because I agreed with him on his views but that doesn't mean you don't get he's not telling the whole story. This movies should always be taken with a grain of salt.

Agreed, I like the ideas of the movies to question the ideas of religion or what bush is doing.

Moore is just as biased. Every documentary he has made ultimately sides with a standard liberal talking point.

Agreed, I like the ideas of the movies to question the ideas of religion or what bush is doing. was doing. And that's all I'll say in this thread, as soon as I saw this went 5 pages in like 2 days, I decided I didn't want to get involved.

Thanks for correcting me, but that is a little lame for all you can say is correct me, because I didn't use past tense.
