This is BS! Apple Cup needs to be played at the stadiums! I think it loses its flavor. Everything shouldn't be about the money. And of course, this beneifts the westsiders. And revenue for Pullman businesses gets hurt too. Apple Cup is a huge weekend in Pullman. You can't take that away from the locals.
And also for Husky fans, it's fun every other year to come to Pullman, to try to get one at Martin. I will never forget when the Huskies won apple cup in 2OT when Kiegel fumbled the ball, and all the Fusky fans rushed the field (probably the worst sports moment of my life.) It wouldn't have been the same if it was at another venue. So, if the Huskies want to have Apple Cup every other year at Qwest instead of Husky Stadium, I'm fine with that. But there has to be a Cup game at Martin.

It really only benefits the Huskies more, because there in Seattle and will get more fans, although I agree it should take turns at each others back yard, not a bigger venue. Same reason, why I hate it when no big name team will play Gonzaga in the Kennel, they will only agree to play them in Seattle at Key or in the bigger arena near spokan. The kennel is small and packs the crowd in tight like Cameron for the dukes, much bigger advantage for the Zags, like the big schools get in their home arena.
