My Cleveland Browns = Joke of the NFL Who would you have liked to see them pick? I didn't think all the trading down and acquiring pieces was a bad move. The team has more problems than 1 player can solve.

Hill is still tagged, and nobody on the radio is even mentioning him being untagged. There's no way the Hawks would let him go for nothing at this point, espicially with the first day of the draft gone and teams still needing to fil big defensive holes. However I fully expect Hill to be gone next season, because he will want a huge contract go to 950 KJR's website, if you want to hear what they are talking about online if you don't live in Washington blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/2009/04/25/hawks_pull_franchise_tag_from_lb_hill

It's weird that they aren't posting this on The Seattle Times anywhere. Espicially since now they are the only active newspapper in Seattle, after the PI went under last month. And seeing how this report is a blog, and not an actual article on that paper, I'm going to assume this is all still speculation until it's confirmed on the major papers, TV, and teams website. As of now it's just rumors, if it's being posted in a blog

They need to get as many players and picks as they can, and build for the future

Yeah and it was first reported on NFL Network, so I think it's pretty legit. Plus I don't get this distrust of blogs, you sound like Bob Costas lilsims. Actually I'm kind of okay with this now. Leroy Hill probably isn't going to get a better offer than the 36/6 that he got from Seattle from another team. Seattle probably had no takers on draft day meaning no one wanted to give up any pick and give Hill a contract, and you have to assume Seattle would have taken a 7th rounder for Hill since they just released him. Plus he refused to sign his franchise tender for 8+ million, what a greedy bastard, so instead of dragging this out into a training camp holdout. Most teams have spent their free agent money already and probably wouldn't be able to match Seattle's original offer, and we can still negotiate with him. If he's really in it for the money then he's coming back. But if his feelings are hurt then he can take less money elsewhere. I hope he comes back at a reasonable price but if he walks, so be it. Like I said LB is the least important of the defensive positions.

Heres where the browns messed up: 1. We did not need Alex Mack. Malalouga, Everett Brown, Harvin, Beanie, Matthews and others were still available who were better and more valuable 2. In the 2nd round, we could have gotten LeSean McCoy who already dropped a ton but we drafted a no-name DE out of Hawaii 3. Trading Braylon... why?

yes, we resigned Hill for six years Great gamble by the Hawks, removing the franchise tag gave us the flexibility to sign Ken Lucas and Justin Griffith and still get Hill back at a more reasonable price.

i love the fact that were going back to being a defensive minded team. most real seahawk fans are more like the afc east fans. we love defense and a solid running game.
as for our linebacker core, it is the best young trio in the whole league
