Let's separate the tv talk from the "Movie Thread".
So what is everyone watching on TV?

Nobody watches tv anymore? How about 24, anyone watching that?
This season has gone a long way to redeeming itself for last season's, that is 2 years ago, disaster.
Also how about Lost? Still the best drama on tv IMO.
And anyone watch 30 Rock? The funniest show on television.

24 has been pretty good this season. Better than the previous 2 seasons.
I used to be so into Lost but I don't watch it anymore. I think I'm just going to wait until the series is over to finish up. I've heard that this season has been very inconsistent though from those that are watching it.
I really think 30 Rock is the funniest show on NBC now. Tina Fey is a comedic genius. It's definitely not a show for everyone though. The funniest show used to be The Office but even I'm beginning to realize that The Office is really struggling to come up with new material. The characters are still great but the plot has been really lacking. I've never watched Scrubs until now but since my roommate does, I've watched it whenever he's watching it online.
As I said in the other thread, Chuck had a really good sophomore season. It really is simply a fun show to watch.
Friday Night Lights had an excellent 3rd season. People should really watch the show. The best life drama right now with an excellent cast. Got renewed for 2 more seasons because of a special deal with DirecTV but I wouldn't be shocked if it got canceled between now and 2 years. Simply not enough people watch it.
My favorite show still is How I Met Your Mother. I'm not really liking this season as much as the previous ones but it still delivers with quality laughs and moments. I'm afraid they'll try to cram too much plot development into the final 2-3 episodes. I feel like the plot really hasn't progressed at all the entire season though. It's been laughable the ways they deal with Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan's pregnancies this season though. I think my favorite 30 minute (well 21-22 if you watch them online) shows in order HIMYM, 30 Rock, Scrubs, The Office right now.
NCIS and Criminal Minds have had solid seasons. I think Criminal Minds had one of their best episodes ever this season. I think NCIS is the best crime show on TV now. It really has the best mix of action, humor, and interesting cases. I've been told Bones has had a good but rushed season.
House has had a better season than last. But I feel like the cases have just gotten absurd. I'm sure after so many seasons though that finding intriuging cases is difficult.

I just finished the 3rd season of Dexter. Better than season 2, although the final episode was a bit anticlimactic for me.
Currently watching dollhouse, south park, and season 4 of Supernatural. Supernatural is a good show if you like the monster hunting type shows. It's on CW so keep in mind it's geared more toward the younger audience. Dollhouse is ok, but it's been getting better the last few episodes. Only reason I started watching it is because I'm a big Joss Whedon fan (buffy, angel, firefly/serenity). South park is south park.

I think Lost has been great this season, the show has found it's focus is pacing itself nicely toward it's final season. You should start watching it again.
24 has been much better than last season but sometimes I feel like 24 episodes is detrimental to the show. I know that's part of the gimmick, but some of these episodes have felt like they are stalling for more time.
I never really got into Chuck although the few episodes that I've watched, I liked. And I'm still watching Heroes for some reason. I honestly don't know why, it's becoming more unwatchable with each episode.
Also what's up with the agents on Criminal Minds? It's like they try to find people who look nothing like the typical cops/FBI agents you final in other procedurals on TV. Talk about casually dressed.

Jimmy Smits performance as Miguel Prado made that season extremely memorable. The second to last episode ended on a very weird note, I thought they would save a scene that big for the grand finale. "24" has been good, I'm in the minority that still thought Season 6 was a good season. I thought Season 5 was a terrific season, the way the President Logan character shifted was something very clever IMO. I'm waiting til summer time to watch a few more shows. I started watching "Parks and Recreation", and so far it's pretty good. It's exactly like "The Office" in its brand of humor, but Amy Poheler is the perfect woman version of Michael Scott. Rashida Jones is also on the show, many is she something to look at...

I really need to watch more South Park, I mainly catch reruns in syndication but I'll have to pick up the DVDs at some point.

Every episode of 24 has been stellar, but nothing better than the 2nd season.
I didn't know Friday Night Lights was back on. Love that show, gonna start watching like now...
Lost has got its step back. I was longing, but I'm at the point where I'm so deep, I can't stop. But I can't wait until the series ends, so I can fiinish that show, and know what the fuck is going on.
Fringe is a new one I really like. It's twisted, and it's alot better than I expected.

I like the Indian dude though. He was on Scrubs as an intern this season. I haven't decided whether I'll end up checking out Parks & Rec.

"Lost" is still interesting, but it's getting to the point that you're starting to believe that the writers are just messing with you and are never going to give you any answers. Another big problem is too many characters, "Lost" did a good job balancing everyone out for the most part in the first three seasons, and touched briefly on a few characters that appeared in Season Four. Now they're adding in the characters that came in Season Four into their little "character background" flashbacks they like to do. The only interesting character out of that group is the Jeremy Davies character, I could care less about Ken Leung and his "psychic" abilities. Season five is just meh for me, I find parts of it interesting, but other parts it's like they're hammering more mysteries and questions that they can spare at this point. It seems like they're going to count on us forgetting little aspects of the story here and there and try to answer some of the questions. That's just me though.

Oh I forgot about Fringe. I find the show fascinating and I love the character of Walter Bishop. However, it's frustrating to watch just like Lost. In reality, the show is pretty much X-Files 2.0. It follows the exact same formula.

It played on DirecTV in entierty over the fall (DirecTV gave NBC money to play the episodes first) and then premiered in the winter on NBC. NBC pretty much did no promotion of the show though (understandable considering how poorly it did the first 2 seasons) and seemed to want it to die but somehow they renewed it for 2 more seasons (same deal with DirecTV). I think the 13 episode season helped them make the decision though and the fact they can't find a ratings winner anyway (the fact Leno occupies the 10 PM M-F is pathetic for a Big 4 network).

That's just me though. lost is my favorite show on TV right now...... and I think the opposite....they have gave us lots of answers.....and the reason why the storyline is going better is because they have a set end date.....next season is the last one......shows like lost go bad IMO when they have to drag it out.....now the lost writers have an end and are writing towards it.....
