Terry O'Quinn's performance is the strongest in the show - he flat out brings it every episode. Really love what they're doing with him so far, although I'll admit what they did in the second episode is getting a little to "Indiana Jones"-ey for me. But we'll see. Both okay episodes, nothing extraordinary, but pretty good. yeah, O'Quinn is awesome. His character is one of my all time favorite TV characters. Just awesome. Good point about the Indiana Jones type shit, I think they just wanted to make it blatant what was going on and you likely wont see any more smoke monster beat downs and shit. Interesting to read all the theories floating around out there today after the premiere.

Eh, two weeks in and Lost has lost any casual watchers they might have stood to gain. Fucking hilarious how the off-season theme was "questions answered" when they havent answered shit in the first 2 episodes, just added more questions.
Really disappointed in how these first 2 episodes have gone. Obviously i will watch to the end, i have way too much invested to not, but i was really hoping for better.

They did answer who/what the smoke monster was. The second episode definitely slowed down a bit, but if you saw the previews for the third episode, it looks awesome.

***SPOILER SHIT
yeah, but i knew, and i thought everyone knew, that locke had been the smoke monster all during season 5. At least you DEF. knew after the season 5 finale. so the way people were acting stuneed after that revelation in the premier this season was puzzling to me.
I guess on 2nd thought this episode wasnt SOOO horrible. I dont wanna sound like those douche's that claim after watching the like their 200th episode they would just quit watching the show based on one poor episode, with only 14 to go, thats dumb.
We again saw the two timelines seem to ooze into each other, the way Kate saw Jack standing there and stopped for a second, as though she knew him, even though she shouldnt at this point. Also, the way things occur in similar, but not exact fashion, in terms of kate and claire becoming friendly, and ethan will deliever the baby, and jack and locke conversing, etc etc. I feel like we will see more of this as it goes on. They have already confirmed several episodes in the future, one as far out as episode 12, will be about off island happenings, so this split reality idea isnt going anywhere anytime soon.
yeah, the preview for next week looked a lot more action packed. Seems like these next few months are gonna be measured by days until next Lost episode. Yes, my work is that exciting.

i'm really digging this season of lost......
ya, the "sideways" storyline is awkward, but I don't mind....the producers said it isn't going to be a "what if" scenario, that it will mean something....somehow that time line and the island timeline will merge......
thinking about tv in general, right now I have I think 4 shows that I really, really like and look forward to watching...the rest is meh....
lost chuck how i met your mother big bang

I just have a problem with the way they spend 5 min debating about whether or not to tell Jack what was in the pill. Thats just a waste. Anywho... Been thinking about the claiming procedure, and how it relates to the importance that the Others put on burying/burning bodies so that , possibly, they cant be claimed by the MIB or Smokie, whatever you wanna call him. Also, will Faux Locke be able to "recruit/claim" Sawyer in this episode? WTF is he gonna do with Richard Alpert? In the preview it appears that he got away and is all bloodied and is telling Sun's group that "he wants to kill everyone on the island". I am assuming this is Faux Locke. Should be interesting.
