great season finale, IMO...... i liked the jacob storyline b/c it affirms the thought that the group was on that plane for a reason....they were handpicked..... the story started off great by being back in the 1400's (or somewhere around there) and showing Jacob and apparently his rival awaiting the arrival of the Black Rock, which Richard was probably on.... next year we will learn more about jacob and his rival and why they were on the island.....it has to do something with the egypt due to the statue and writings and such..... and ya, i'm guess the crew makes their way back to present, but I don't think that means they changed the future....miles is right, the bomb was the incident..... sad to see julliete go....i liked her alot..... i'm always amazed at the great people they get to play older and younger people......that small Kate was a exactly like Kate....even same mannerisms.... locke falling out of that box was great...... do you think they will show us how jacob got back and forth from the island? and dan, JJ Abrahms doesn't have anything to do with the show anymore, right? I was under the impression, he hasn't had anything to do with the show since like season 1 or 2....it's been the 2 guys on those recap shows.....JJ might still be listed as an executive producer, but I don't think the storyline is his at all....i may be wrong though.... going to be a long 7 months.....dang You could very well be right. I was starting to think how the hell he could be doing both "Lost" and "Star Trek" at the same time. That's lazy homework on my part, I know he was the show's starter, it makes sense that he would've probably moved on to better things, though.

great season finale, IMO...... i liked the jacob storyline b/c it affirms the thought that the group was on that plane for a reason....they were handpicked..... yeah, its like jacob just runs sociological experiments on the island!! and they apparently all end in the same bad way!!the story started off great by being back in the 1400's (or somewhere around there) and showing Jacob and apparently his rival awaiting the arrival of the Black Rock, which Richard was probably on.... you think the other guy is the smoke monster and the one who has been taking form of walt, shannon, and the host of dead folks thats hurley has been seeing?? it would coincide with the many yin and yang type things that have been in lost, jacob is the good, the other guy is the evil, which by the way is a total switch a roo on what i would have guessed before tonight.
also, what the heck happens that allows richard to become the right hand man??next year we will learn more about jacob and his rival and why they were on the island.....it has to do something with the egypt due to the statue and writings and such..... and ya, i'm guess the crew makes their way back to present, but I don't think that means they changed the future....miles is right, the bomb was the incident..... sad to see julliete go....i liked her alot..... ha, who knows, she might not be dead, my opinion is that as soon as the bomb went off it triggered another "event" that sends them forward "they are coming" so maybe she lived. If its a real H bomb and it went off then she along with everybody else got obliterated, so not sure why she wont be wherever they are.i'm always amazed at the great people they get to play older and younger people......that small Kate was a exactly like Kate....even same mannerisms.... locke falling out of that box was great...... yeah, i wonder what the future holds for that character since it appears he is really dead...do you think they will show us how jacob got back and forth from the island? and dan, JJ Abrahms doesn't have anything to do with the show anymore, right? I was under the impression, he hasn't had anything to do with the show since like season 1 or 2....it's been the 2 guys on those recap shows.....JJ might still be listed as an executive producer, but I don't think the storyline is his at all....i may be wrong though.... going to be a long 7 months.....dang

found the translation of the phrase, the thing that lies in the shadow of the statue is "the one who will save us all" roughly. Obviously they meant jacob, since those were his people and what not.
but what i want to know is that if jacob went to this chick, and asked her to do something for him, was it "bring me locke's dead body"? and WTF happend to her to make her need to have her head bandaged. Also, what was the point of bringing locke's dead body??

J.J. was a co-creator with those two guys but then his movie directing career took off with MI:III and he went on to Fringe.

I'm not a religious person and probably no less about what is in the bible than most people. But list us just so full of religious themes.
I think the island is Jacobs ladder. And the other guy that took lockes body was his brother Easu (spelling?).
I have so many questions now, I'm having a hard time thinking about anything else at work.
Does the smoke monster work fir Jacobs brother? So it was Jacobs brother each time we saw a dead person on the island. It was Jacobs brother that had Richard tell Locke he had to kill himself. And Jacobs brother that told ben to follow Locke.
Why was llana's face all bandaged up? What language was that?
I hope the black rock is a focus of one of the first episodes next season.
Ugh. I could keep rambling, but I guess I should try to do some work.

Lost Season 5 (*** 3/4 out of ****)
This season was awesome, and they needed a season like this to get everyone back. Best season since the first. And the season finale was epic. They answered so many questions, but there are still so many questions left that we have to wait 7 months for. Be interesting how they approach the final season, but this season was the best since the first.

Yeah, I don't know very much about religion either so maybe someone else with more background can enlighten us on all of the religious allegories in this show, of which there seem to be many. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EsauMaybe Jacob brought all of the survivors to the island to cleanse them of their sins and to live a moral and peaceful life, so they can all ascend to heaven via Jacob's ladder. While Esau was tricked out of his inheritance, power of the island, and wants to kill Jacob to get it back.

anybody catch Prison Break series finale tonight? Unfortunately not. I've gotten lazy with that show, I'll finish up the five episodes in the summer since I've been getting rocked with friday night shifts at my work and school has been tough since we're on the last few days here. Was it good?

I could keep rambling, but I guess I should try to do some work. It's seems clear (now of course) that it's something like that. Jacob has the power of the island and his rival thinks things should be done his way and wants to claim the power. There seems to be a battle of good vs evil (which is a turn off to me) for a long time between the 2 where the evil is nowadays the black monster and has been getting the form of the dead bodies of the island. Here you find another spetacular moment by the writers. Once again they managed to glue together lots of pieces from very different episodes in way that makes sense when those old episode were probably aired even before they wrote this one. Kudos to their creativity. Seems like the Jacob and the rival are kind of human Gods with special powers who can lead the path of people but have always to give them a choice. So the rival couldn't kill Jacob but could lead humans to do it. And Jacob couldn't save himself but could lead humans to save him. I was hoping Lost wouldn't turn religious since the creators said the island wasn't the purgatory but I guess it was obvious it would have to go that way with so many "special" moments going on. There had to be something bigger. Seems like all that is going on since season 1 is a part of Jacobs plan to avoid being killed by the "bad guy". Lets see now what happens when they get back to the present and what the present looks like. I hope Kate and the young Eloise can manage to get romaticly involved.

Powerful ending to this season of "24"
*spoilers*
You knew Kim was going to do the stem cell transfer or whatever to save Jack. Was Renee a bad guy all along? That look she gave Coach Yoast (that's what I call him, the actor who played the chief bad guy was the coach in "Remember the Titans") indicated that she's either a.) Going to help him, b.) Going to kill/beat the ever living crap out of him.
*end spoilers*
Interesting, very interesting...

24 was awesome tonight.
*spoilers* *spoilers* *spoilers*
There is no way Renee is a bad guy, I think she was just taking Jack's advice to heart (when Jack essentially said that in the end, you have to just do what you can live with). In other words, Renee was about to torture the hell out of him. Jack will obviously be well for season 8 (I think the show will be set in NYC from what I heard). Overall, a strong season finale.
