i imagine many of you have seen the malware by now as it's fucking up the entire site. the boards and website are two different things, so the board is fine. I'm not sure what happened with the site. People have been posting problems the last few weeks. Either we got hacked or someone uploaded a virus by accident that has messed up the site. If anyone with a better knowledge of HTML has any ideas then PM me. Right now the only thing I can think of is to delete everything and reupload new stuff, which would obviously put things on hold for a day or so, but unless someone has a better solution that could be the only option

also, can everyone that has access to the FTP for the site please post here. In case deleting is the only option i'll need to get in touch with these people to make a quick transition so any leagues aren't put on hold too long

I have FTP access. I haven't obviously deleted everything but I've deleted the bad scripts of some pages people have complained about and they do fine for a week or so then they pop up again on the same pages. So it's not really the html pages that are the source of infection. Deleting them won't solve anything. If it's the actual server that has a registry infection then it will keep poping up. The downloadable files are fine, it's just something that put scripts in the html pages that is bothering people. Even those scripts aren't gonna harm your computer. I believe they just want to re-direct to another site. But if we have a anti-malware software that acuses those scripts then it will make our expirience a pain in the ass. I think we need Boyd to solve this. I believe he's the domain owner and the domain owner needs to contact the host to see if they can help fixing the source of the problem. It's clear to me at this point that deleting the bad scripts is nothing more than a temporary fix (and a pain in the ass).

I have FTP access - and I've also been noting problems. I took a peek at this with Google's Webmaster tools, and I got: Malicious software includes 8 scripting exploit(s). Malicious software is hosted on 2 domain(s), This site was hosted on 1 network(s), Link for Google's tools suggestion regarding malware: www.stopbadware.org/home/security

For some, it's been a week or so - others haven't had the problem for quite as long.
For me, it started on Monday morning with the Google warning.

How long has this been going on? There was a brief issue a month or so ago, I think, but this latest thing is since Monday or so.

Still works fine for my McAfee, Site Advisor etc
Is this a browser thing? Anyone with a problem uses Internet Explorer? Just wondering cause everyone that claims something seems to be on chrome.

I had a problem a few weeks back, maybe even a month ago. I haven't had any problems since then though. I use IE.
