Where are you seeing that? The Mavs don't have the cap space to offer Odom anything close to what the Lakers can. Only the Blazers and Thunder would be able to, and so far it hasn't sounded like either of those teams are interested.

Unless either of those teams suddenly decide they are interested it looks like Odom has even less leverage than Ariza.

Unless it's a sign and trade.
Odom actually makes a lot of sense to the Blazers so if they aren't able to stupidly spend all their money on Milsap to be a backup, maybe they'll go after him. That's Odom's best chance of getting more money. If not, I think it's what the Lakers offer him.
