That and it makes no sense for the Pistons. You already have Rodney Stuckey and Rip Hamilton starting for you. This makes zero sense. In other rumors its being reported that the Lakers aren't willing to offer anything more than the full MLE to Trevor Ariza. This is incredible to me, he's definitely worth that.

If no other team is giving Ariza more than the MLE than their is no reason for the Lakers to offer more than that. His agent is getting loud claiming Ariza would sign elsewhere for the same money because he feels disrespected. That's a joke.

Not to mention if they sign Ariza to a multi year deal they still need to reup Sideshow Bob which kills any sort of 2010 Lebron+ Wade/Bosh fantasy. Portland, Toronto, Oklahoma City and I think the Grizzlies (if Zbo didnt take all their cap room already) are the teams that can price Ariza out. The other teams names being thrown around are just scare tactics by his agent.

Well. Not exactly FA news, but Grizz supposedly agreed to trade Qrich for Zbo. He gives the grizz a legit inside scoring presence they have missed since Pau left. Can he get his act together? Who knows/cares.

He's been a complete tool lately and if Dumars wants to go after Bosh still, he'll have to move Rip or Prince.

With his age, and contract length. I could only see a contender now, who doesn't care about 2010 taking him. And the only team who doesn't seem to care about 2010 is the Lakers, Magic, Spurs, and Nuggets. And those teams all have good SG's

Dumars messed up on his signings IMO, he should've went after David Lee and Hedo. Gordon's game is EXACTLY like Iverson's, and look how that worked out. Hopefully this doesn't hurt the development of Stuckey. The Pistons are also losing Antonio McDyess, they need another big man besides Charlie V. As far as the Grizzlies thing, I feel bad for you Grizz fans. You're on the verge of offering David Lee a 50 million dollar deal, then your idiot owner nixes it and who do you get? Cancerous Zach Randolph. Ugh, sorry guys.

Gordon is choosing to come here and play the super sub role." www.nba.com/2009/news/features/david_aldridge/07/01/pistons.signings/index.html

Pistons should had offered Milsap the 5 years 40 mil offer sheet though. Charlie V, would had steal been around if the Jazz matched that offer
As for the Lakers. Now they are saying that if Ariza goes somewhere else, that the Lakers will resign Odom and would probably be the frontrunners for Artest. Honestly, I would rather have Artest and Odom. Ariza is cool, but he can't get buckets in the post, defend, and rebound like Artest. Granted Artest is older, but lets face it............. The Lakers window is 3 more seasons with Kobe.

I agree. Odom is the nightmare matchup and harder to replace. Ariza is a good player too but if another team wants to give 40-50 million for a role player then you have to let him go. The gap between Trevor Ariza and worst case scenario players such as Bruce Bowen, Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, and Shawn Marion is smaller than the gap between Lamar Odom and Josh Powell.

I am not sure what people thought the grizz were gonna do. We had zero post scoring last year and drafted a defensive specialist in Thabeet. I think Z-bo will be a good fit in Memphis.
As fas as the locker room stuff, I sure as shit wouldn't want him destroying the super awesome winning attitude that permeates through the grizz organization. Maybe he will light a fire under Rudy Gay, who appears comatose at times. The Grizz will win 10+ more games than they did last year and only had to give up Q-rich to get him.
