is it just me or do the free UFC events on Spike seem to always have better fights than the pay-per-view events? Almost the whole Spike event wednesday was good, while last night was a bit disappointing. It could have been because I was drunk, but I don't remember any of the fights being too exciting. Vitor had a big win against Franklin so I imagine they'll try and throw him up against Silva now

No way man. I thought the maincard of UFC 103 was great- all the fights ended by stoppage. Lots of highlight reel knockouts, and as much as I love the 3 round tactical brawls, I'm sure I'm not the only one who watches MMA in the hope of seeing a big knockout, or a perfectly executed submission.

I usually agree that a stoppage is more exciting than a decision - but in the case of Fight Night vs UFC 103, Fight Night had the more exciting fights IMO. The first two fights were exciting back-and-forth battles that were almost finished several times, the 3rd fight was a tactical battle between two up and coming Lightweights, and the 4th was (yet another) submission pulled out by Nate Diaz when he was getting his ass beat.
UFC 103 was good, but the Fight Night was GREAT.

How about Rampage backing out of his fight with Rashad, to be Mr.T in the movie version of the A - Team!

Yeah, I guess he's looking at life after MMA. Doesn't want to be on Dancing with the Stars I suppose That fight will happen though. Seems like there angling for a Rashad vs Kimbo match to me. When you watch the show Rashad has no respect for him, and I could see Dana spinning that. Kimbo is old, so you got to get him in the ring asap. Regardless if he's ready or not, he needs his big fight asap. I'm not saying he's good or would win. I'm just saying that he is sellable, and you could sell a Rashad vs Kimbo fight imo. Regardless to how Kimbo does on the Ultimate fighter. They can just blame it on lack of trainging, and say since the show he's been working with the best trainers and Rashad is in trouble..... blah blah blah. People will eat that up, and pay for the PPV between Rashad and him.

Fight last night was garbage, I am still trying to find out how Rashad's guy easily won the fight as the judges said he basically won both rounds. I re-watched it and I can't see Rashad's guy winning the first round what so ever. All he did was leg kick the whole fight. Cardio is the most important part of winning that show, surprised guys don't know that yet after nine seasons. Anybody who is going on the show, should train more on cardio than anything else.

That is so true. The fight last night was a waste of an hour. They both should had loss. Whats sad is at some point in this season there will be a great fight where both guys should win, yet one guy who couldn't last endurance wise for more than one round gets to advance.

Both guys looked like shit and that was Rashad's first pick guy. Notice how Dana didn't comment on the fight and when he brought in the decision he didn't look all that happy.

Yeah, the fight was shocking. Next week should be better- cocky git Roy Nelsen vs. humble and suprisingly likeable Kimbo Slice. My money's on Kimbo. Yeah Agreed! How about Rampage backing out of his fight with Rashad, to be Mr.T in the movie version of the A - Team! Now thats classic Shut it, fool! Rampage has said on his blog he's retiring from MMA. Do I smell something?

Roy Nelson might have been the IFL champ, but he looks like the size of Tank Abbot, have you seen that guys belly. Jesus, how about you lose some fucking weight or something before you get a shot like this. Kimbo might come out and give him a gut shot and then it will be a communion of beer for the rest of the show. Be sure to bring your keg cups, lol.

Roy Nelson is legit, and the most experienced fighter on the show. I'm shocked that he went so late in the draft.
Nelson should be able to take him down and GnP his way to a victory - but I wouldn't be surprised if Kimbo caught him with a big punch early.

The combined record of the 4 people who beat Nelson is 79-22. Of course he hasn't really beaten anyone very legit, but he doesn't lose to scrubs either.
