Grizz are playing out of their minds, with wins AT portland, and at home against dallas and cleveland in the last week or so. Dont get me wrong, i think we are a good team, but it will be an up9 and down year most likely.
Since the cANSWER left, we have been playing much better team ball, especially on defense. Still in the bottom half of the league in defense, but I feel like we are putting more pressure on other teams, not nearly as many easy buckets.
Z-Bo and Gasol is a nice tandem, I put them up against anybody in the league, bar none. Even Gasol/Byunum or Howard/whatever stiff orlando trots out. They are an excellent pair, extremely complementary in their skill sets IMO.
OJ mayo has adjusted him game to fit what we need, he isnt scoring as much, but he is clutch and I am glad he was able to adjust, but Rudy Gay is to selfish to do so I think. Hell even conley has been better, but still think we need a real PG to be legit.
As far as AI goes, i loved that shit last night, Stucky breaking him down making him look like the fool he is, then he missed a layup. But shit, he got his fucking 30 + minutes by GOd!! and look what it has gotten him? 0-2 something like 0-8 on the season for him. What a fucking winner, i hope he gets hit by a bus.

Yeah, AI was okay to me because he was the only interesting thing in PHILLY B-Ball these past 10-15 years...it really didn't matter to me if he came back or not, but it would be nice for him to finish out his career in Philly. But really, AI was a cancer for 3 games? He actually shot well over 50% in those games, but I really don't think he had too much of an effect on the Grizz in 3 games basically. But then again, I could be wrong because I'm not living near Memphis or know what was really going on.
And again, he can make himself look like a fool as long as it gives the 76ers a chance at finally getting the #1 pick...and getting John Wall

It wasnt the game he DID play in, rather the ones he missed and his attitude during his entire stay. When on the court, he was selfish, refusing to run plays, and demanding, after missing a month with a hamstring injury, to play 30+ minutes immediately. Then constantly undermining the coach, it just wants what Memphis needed at the time.
it was a bad marriage on both ends, but AI could have been a little more professional about it. We are 8-4 without him I think, multiple players have been quoted (on and off record) as to saying he was terrible in the locker room, and not having him on the team has been a weight off their shoulders...so yeah, he was cancer-like.

Fuck Zack Randolph not being on the All-Star ballot. Guy lit up Denver last night like a cheap cigar. And damnit the Grizz are fucking tough and playing like a fucking team. last night Z-bo and Nene got tangled up and Mayo came over and got in Nene's face and got T'ed up himself. That shit aint happening with Paula Gasol and MIchelle Miller. Fuck naw.
Then the announcers from Denver, being the douche bags they are, were like "who does this idiot (OJ) think he is?" and i am yelling at my computer screen "thats mother fucking OJ Mayo mother fuckers!!"
Grizz have won 11 of 18. the nba is now on notice. bitches.
Should probably get decaff tomorrow...

So i hope some of you guys caught the Grizz in their only national TV game (scheduled) for the year on TNT yesterday. Granted the Suns have been reeling, but the Grizz showed their grit yesterday.
We also showed that we have the worst bench in the league. That and injuries are the only thing that will keep this team out of the playoffs. Other than Jamal Tinsley we have no bench, or at least none that should be playing. The rest of those guys would be DNP's 70 games of the year on most teams. However, they are having to play 10+ min for us.
Its hard to say we should have done this or that, b/c i truely believe the Iverson fiasco was a learning experience for the team and our coach. However, it sure would have been nice to use that cap space on a player what would have been a solid contributor off the bench. Oh well, live and learn.
On to the playoff race, since I dont watch the Jr. league much, I will only talk about the West. I think we can say with some certainty that the Lakers, Mavs, Nuggs and Spurs will be in.
That leaves 4 spots for : Portland, Phoenix, Houston, OKC, Utah, Memphis, New Orleans. Sorry Clippers. You are, after all, the Clippers.
Portland is in trouble with all their injuries, if they make a trade to shore it up, who knows.
Phoenix looked out of sorts, and has lost 4 in a row, as of now I think they miss it. Same goes for Nawlins'. The saints will win the Super bowl though, and no one will care.
Right now I would p9ut my money on Houston, OKC, Memphis and Utah.

Not at all happy with the Spurs right now. 25-18.
Considering the amount of talent they added over the offseason, a rested three-headed monster, and a draft day steal that is now their starting center (DeJuan Blair), you'd think they'd be with or around the Lakers record right now. Not even close. They've lost five out of their last six, most recently tonight against the Bulls. I'm most upset at Popovich right now, he loves playing small-ball lineups that never work (as seen tonight when the Bulls got the go-ahead bucket because the Spurs were undersized, allowing Joaquim Noah to get an easy follow-up rebound), and he refuses to play a young, talented, shot-blocking center in Ian Mahinmi and instead elects to play Antonio McDyess in crucial defensive stretches, when the Spurs need size out there.
Shame too, Duncan is showing that he's still got it, Ginobili and Parker (who is hurt right now) have been all over the place. So far this is the most disappointed I've been with the team in a long, long time. They have the talent, and coaching, to compete with the Lakers and the best teams in the NBA, but they're looking very, very average right now. Better pick it up soon.

Dajuan Blair is nice, but has no business getting all those minutes. He is putting up some nice numbers, but I think you have to consider who is he playing next to. The spurs will be OK though. They are still right there with the Mavs so I mean, if they pass them they get homecourt 1st round, hell they might still get it without passing them.
Spurs, from what i have seen, which is only 4-5 games, seem like they have lost a step on the defensive end. Offensively they look nice, but the loss of Bowen I think hurts them. He set the tone on the defensive end.
In other news: THE MOTHER FUCKING GRIZZLIES ARE FUCKING INSANE. oh and D-howard is another, like lebron, well protected by his endorsements DOUCHE BAG. He can take his weak shit home back to shitty orlando and take his pocket sized PG b/c they BOTH got rung up by FUCKING MIKE CONLEY last night.
Jesus christ if the grizz were in the weak sauce ass fucking eastern convference we might win a fucking conference title. They should euthanize half those teams. I feel confident that if Orlando played our schedule they would be LUCKY to be .500.
