LOL...typical Canadian....talking about the PAST...the point is, you guys have the most talent every Olympics for the most part and you couldn't beat us at home...you guys suck and SWISS took you to a shootout which was even more pathetic. Actually I was mostly correcting your spelling, but fair point. I could give a fuck about hockey, but it's funny how up in arms all you hockey-haters get as soon as it comes to wearing your country on your sleeve... There are plenty of people flipping out about last night, but I amd definitely not one of them. I bet there are, when you guys get that syrup in ya you get all antsy in your pantsies.

It's fucking Germany.....play Brodeur again and give him the last Olympic start of his career. Gotta play Luongo vs Russia, Sweden and whoever makes it our of the USA bracket. Brodeur is done.

Canada goes with Luongo tomorrow. Brodeur looked awful. At least 2 of those goals shouldn't have happened. Canada may be too good. Too many superstars and egos to deal with. I mean who is the US's best player/scorer? Miller and ? I think its good they don't have a great scorer. Their most pure scorer is probably Patrick Kane (Buffalo baby!) and he's on the 3rd line. I like the US team because they are young and want to win. Canada needs to win. I think its a big difference in mentality and its messing with the Canadians' minds right now. I'm not saying the US is going to win gold because to be honest they are probably the 5th or 6th best team out there, but they won't get blown away.
PS... Did anyone see Sweden play? They look nasty. All those guys play for the Red Wings so although they are superstars they play together every day and I could see them repeating '06 easily.

They definitely have a tough draw in tourney play though. Did you see Lundquist take that slapper off his dome?

they already said they are going with home town goalie luongo I still vote for Brodeur vs. GER. Canada is going to score more goals than GER is going to have fucking shots. Give Brodeur his last Olympic start / win and then its Luongo when they have to play a real game.

No, you start Loungo so he can get on a roll and get another shutout...Brodeur had his chance and he gave up 6 goals against the USA/SWISS which is obviously not good enough.
And to Erbes, I'd say Parise is 1A and Kane is 1B...Parise is a better goal scorer for sure...I think USA is the 4th best team behind Sweden/Canada/Russia...
Finally, USA has the draw perfectly set up...in all honesty they should get to the finals or I'd probably consider it a somewhat failure. They should at least be playing for a medal either way. Sweden/Canada/Russia are battling for 1 spot essentially and all USA has to do is beat whoever makes it out of their side. But as we know...it's 1 game elimination and anything can really happen.

Big fan of how they set things up. Each team is just a few wins from a gold medal even after pool play. Atleast they did something right.

I partly agree with Steve and how if the US isnt at least in a medal game its a failure, but they will probably have to play either Finland or the Czechs and neither of those are gimmes. I honestly think its up in the air for the big 5 - US, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and Canada. You cant say anyone has an advantage over anyone because they all have great goaltending and all can score at will. I'm taking Sweden for gold, US for silver, and Canada for bronze.

I feel like I wrote this. I agree 100%. I hope Canada doesnt medal If Crosby grows his crustache back they might....either that or someone kills him because he looks so stupid.

Erbes, even if they do lose to the Czechs or Finland there in a medal game...so really all they have to do to guarantee a medal games it to beat Swiss/Belarus...
