no way around it.......it is a sham he isn't being charged......
the small town DA didn't think he had the resources to fight a dream team of lawyers (OJ/Kobe-style)......and it appears the victim signed a confidentiality agreement and accepted a cash settielment for asking for no prosecution after all (via her letter to the DA asking not to prosecute the case and her not ever being in public)
I hope she took him for 10+ million, because he is a complete asshole.....
here is the victim's statement that was in the police report
"Ben asked us to go to his 'VIP' area. . . . We all went with him. He said there were shots for us, numerous shots were on the bar, and he told us to take them. His bodyguard came and took my arm and said come with me, he escorted me into a side door/hallway, and sat me on a stool. He left and Ben came back with his penis out of his pants. I told him it wasn't OK, no, we don't need to do this and I proceeded to get up and try to leave. I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be a bathroom. He followed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything. I went out of the hallway/door to the side where I saw my friends. We left [the club] and went to the first police car we saw."
and here was her hand written report the night it happened, in which she happened to be highly drunk:
"His bodyguards took him back to the rooms w/bathroom and I said, 'I don't know if this is a good idea' and he said 'it's OK.' He has sex w/me and meanwhile his bodyguards told me friends they couldn't pass them to get to me. My friends found me & talked to a Milledgeville policeman and he said to report it."
ridiculous he will not be prosecuted by our justice system.....i hope he is suspended for 4 games

Not really, but it seems that Ben is a serial rapists. The 572 page doc did mention another girl he showed himself to and stuck his hand up her skirt
it also appears that his drunken party romp had the purpose of him taking advantage of drunk college girls.
And the bodygaurds were willing participants.
Sick.

Yeah, i have gone from one end of the spectrum to the other after reading the report. At first, i will be honest, i gave the guy the benefit of the doubt. Then, the DA said there was no enough info to charge him and "too little DNA." I happen to have worked in a forensics lab, and bascially, if there is enough DNA to say there is DNA, then there is enough to ID someone. Thats bullshit.
Now, reading the victims account, its fairly obvious this was a sexual assault plain and simple. Like Zack said, i hope got 10 mill +, b/c honestly, it would have been an even more life altering incident had she taken it through the court. Not that it already isnt, not saying that, but at least this way she can go ahead and try and move on, but this person is fucked up for life, no doubt, and Big Ben will sit for a game or two, and by the time the Stealers play the Browns this year nobody will remember.

Roethlisberger is a sick motherfucker. I hope he gets a lot more than 4 games for this - he should miss at least half the season. But I doubt he gets anymore than a 1 or 2 game suspension.

I now think it should be between 8 games and a full season. Using money and power to rape a drunk 20 year old should not be a behavior of an NFL qb. Maybe lifetime ban.

I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. Women are capable of anything, and it just doesn't strike me that he was so stupid to do that. Why the hell didn't she run or scream? She must of obviously wanted something from him. Bottom line is that Ben shouldn't be having sex with random girls in the bathroom, but to say he's guilty of assault is far fetch IMO.

And this is the problem with our culture. You want to give the benefit of the doubt because of his status. It doesn't matter that this is the second time this has happened in a year. It doesn't matter that a drunk girl gave such an accurate account of what happened. It doesn't matter that the cop who took the report called her " A stupid drunk bitch" when referring to her statement to the other officers on the scene. It doesn't matter that the same officer was forced to quit yesterday, for unspecified reasons. The only thing that matters is that he is rich, and the girl must want his money. Sometimes guys are sick people, and in this case Ben is a sick guy. If you were accused of rape, wouldn't you make yourself available to speak with the cops at all times? I know when my fiancee accuses me of something I didn't do, I will tell her I didn't until I'm blue in the face. But when she accuses me of something I did do, I can't keep a straight story and I shut down and stop talking. Seems like Big Ben wanted to avoid that happening in front of the police on sworn written statements. Ben gets no benefit of the doubt. Instead, I'm going to give it to the victim in the case. Not the two time offender!

You don't know him and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. And you have to question the women's motives - a famous guy with a lot of money is an inviting target, especially after a night of alcohol. This is my philosophy...why would Ben have to sexually assault and girls, for god sakes look at the man, I'm sure he can get any girl he wants. The accuser has a boyfriend and I think someone found out she had sex with Ben and didn't want to get caught so she made this whole story up. You think you're going in to a bathroom stall just to make out? And why would her friend let her go? Too many questions for me. Just like Kobe, I'm giving Ben the benefit of the doubt.

Nothing like Kobe. Kobe stood in front of this, and never hid behind his lawyers. Ben got the benefit of the doubt last year, he's lost that right now.
And you don't know Big Ben either. Your placing this guy on a pedestal because of his status. What if this was your daughter, friend, sister, or Aunt. What if this guys was Joe Sh mo who had been accused of rape less than a year before? You still giving the benefit on this one, or do you start to realize that people are sick. And the most sick people on the world, are the ones with the most power. Look at all the priest, Senators, and Teachers.
I have two baby girls, and when they turn 18 I would not let Ben step one foot near them. Just as much as I wouldn't let any other guy accused of rape twice!
Where's you morals on this one? Your talking about how her story makes no sense. Yet you don't take the time to look at all the red flags on Big Ben's side. Why would he have his body guards bring a heavily intoxicated girl into his VIP section? Why put his self in that position? Why would he then be alone with this girl in the club at all, if he doesn't know her? Why would he not give a statement to police whenever they needed to talk to him? These things are all true, not something that's hear say. So knowing all of that, and knowing what he has to lose, why wouldn't you start to question his motives?
Stop talking about everything he has,and start talking about the one thing he apparently couldn't. And thats a 20 year old, drunk college girl in the bathroom at a club.

There are lots of famous guys with money in the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, etc but how many of them have been accused of sexual assault twice in a year? Not too many. The first time around I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not this time though.
