Man, this is gonna be a good one. Rashard is a hell of a fighter, and one of my favs. And Rampage was right when he said he's an athlete. A hell of an athlete. And plus, he's looking damn good lately. But damnit, I'm with Rampage. He's my favorite ever. And why I give the edge to Rampage is because of what he said. Rashard is an athlete. Rampage is a fighter, and seen so many different types of fighters over his career. I can't wait til this fight tonight. LETS GO RAMPAGE!

Never understand the MMA craze. A few of my boys are having a huge party. I was like "oh are we watching the Lakers game?" I just dont get the same buzz for these big "fights" as I did back in the day for big boxing matches.

Never understand the MMA craze. A few of my boys are having a huge party. I was like "oh are we watching the Lakers game?" I just dont get the same buzz for these big "fights" as I did back in the day for big boxing matches. That's because boxing had a lot more compelling fighters back in the day. But it's not true anymore. MMA has tapped in to the void that boxing left. Compelling fighters, organization (knowing who's the champ and who's not), and just plain better fights. Once you get to know these fighters, you can't be help root for these guys and really care what happens. For me, it was Rampage that got me into MMA. Watching him on pride, I loved everything about him. Once I started following him, then I started to love the other fighters. If you knew about the two fighters, you can't helped and be excited about tonight's match. I think this could be one of the biggest fights in UFC history, depending on the PPV buys, and it's not even a title match. That just goes to show that UFC is king. And with boxing the way it is now, I very happy UFC has filled that void for me.

so I didnt watch, but i see today where Rampage acted like a bitch afterward, blamed being in the A-team for his loss, and said he was still on another level than the guy that just kicked his ass....right....

Honestly Rashad fought like a bitch, and Rampage did seem to have ring rust. I was very dissapointed all around. There was only about 30 seconds of actually fighting in this match. Rashad fought for 10 seconds in the first, Rampage fought for 10 in the third, and Rashad fought for 10 more in the third. The rest of the time was like watching two buddies spar on Tough Enough. For as much hatred that these two claimed to have, you couldn't tell in the ring. Rashad mind as well been fighting Jardine, and Rampage fighting Dan Henderson.
I will not pay for the rematch unless it's a co main event. But I did see ring rust in Rampage And I do buy the excuse of Rampage being rusty, I just wish he would had said something before the fight, so I wouldn't had wasted my money on that shitty as PPV. That main card was terrible as well!

That main card was terrible as well! I agree completely. I think was a tie IMO, but if you had to give to someone, you have to give it to Rashad, because overall, he was the most aggressive. But Rampage got the best shots on him. Rashad won the first round, the 2nd round was hella boring to me was a draw, and Rampage definitely won the 3rd. But like you said, Rashad fought safe, and seemed like he was content with winning by decision. But a lot could be said about Rampage with being out of UFC for over a year, and to lose all that weight in such a short time, and to fight one of the best fighters in the world. But Rashad proved he is ready to regain his title.

Rashad is a bitch, at least Rampage wanted to stand there and bang with him. I knew Rashad was just going to use his quicker wrestling and it would be boring. When it comes down to it, yes you got to get the money and try for the win.
But, if you pump it up and then can't box with him, that is lame. If they both stand toe-to-toe, I think Rampage destroys him and I think Rashad knew that.

Rashad is still young you can tell. Because he is still fighting for the fame, and not the respect. What I mean by that is, guys like Rampage, Chuck Liddell, Titto, Ken SHamrock, Matt Hughes would stand and fight all day, becuase thats what they said they were going to do! But guys like Rashad, Josh Kochech, Anderson Silva will say one thing, and go in and just try and win the match. Because to them just making it to the next fight is more important then making a fight to remember. Fans don't remember how many times you held the belt. They remember how many times you laid it all on the line and gave evrything you had to put on a show. Thats why I love guys like GSP, Rampage, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddel, and Ken Shamrock. They care about building a legacy and not climbing an invisiable ladder just to get knocked off from after one loss. If your great, it won't matter. You won't have to be careful and you won't have to be afraid of being great at what you do. I appreciate all arts of fighting. But as One Time said " if you pump it up and then can't box with him, that is lame" Rashad said what he would do, and he didn't deliver. That was not a title shot deserving fight. That was something that a heel would do on WWE or something

It's absolutely ridiculous to say Rashad fought like a bitch, or that he's lame. Rashad came into the fight knowing what he had to do and he did what he had to do to win. Does Jamie Moyer pitch like a bitch because he never challenges hitters with his fastball? Do the Jets play football like bitches because they run the ball 30-40 times a game? Are the Spurs bitches for not playing run and gun style basketball?
If Rashad comes into that fight to stand toe-to-toe with Rampage then it's playing right into Rampage's strengths, and he probably gets knocked out. If you want to see two guys standing and swinging the whole fight go watch boxing. This is a sport where both people are trying to win.
I think it's funny that you bring up GSP and Couture lilsims....both of those fighters are known for stalling out boring wins similar to what Rashad just did. Do you remember the last time GSP stood and banged with someone? It was against Matt Serra and is his only loss in the past 6 years.
The bottom line is that Rashad fought the smart fight, and did what he had to do to get the win. If he fought the fight that you guys want to see maybe he still hasn't woken up yet. Don't blame him, blame UFC matchmakers.

You didn't read what i said!
I said when a guy says he is going to knock someones head off and he hates them, then that's what I'm expecting to see. Not someone trying to just win a fight by judges decision.
When Couture fought Liddell he gave everyone a show! I can respect that, because they built it up as a slugfest!
You should read what I wrote before you assume I'm saying that Rashad can't fight or he is a bitch. I have nothing but respect for all fighters and all styles. My issue is that he talked about doing one thing, and did a complete other thing in the ring.
So I think he acted like a bitch by not trying to murder Rampage, and instead leaving it for the Judges. I really felt like I was watching a damn exhibition fight

I'm also dissapointed in Rampage for not fighting someone else first, if he was going to come into camp at 250 lbs. Floydd Maywether didn't instantly fight Paccio (sp) beccause he knew he wasn't ready after the layoff. Rampage should had been smarter if he knew he was weighing 250 4 months ago
