George/South Carolina is gonna be huge. I don't really think Florida is that good this year having watched several of their games. They have some glaring weaknesses. Georgia lost their leading WR to a knee injury this week, but they are stocked, so someone will step up. Part of me wants to see the ol' Ball Coach really fuck up Saban and his "SYSTEM" blah blah bullshit. The ol ball coach likes beer, nascar, poundin vag, etc. I am rooting for the South Carolina out of the East.
I don't think KState will make it unscathed, they seem weak sauce. FSU is a good team, but the ACC is no cakewalk, watch them lose to Ga Tech or some shit like that.

there's now a path where the SEC could finish the regular season with 4 teams with 11-1 records.....scenario goes like this:
--LSU beats bama in reg season and therefore wins SEC west again --South carolina beats florida and therefore wins SEC east
that would leave lsu, bama, south carolina and florida all at 11-1 and put LSU and South Carolina in the SEC title game
the rest of the nation is basically laying their hopes of non SEC-SEC title game on Oregon (I don't believe in Notre Dame or Kstate)

That would be insane, so it will probably happen.
In that scenario if South Carolina wins then it would be HILARIOUS when Bama makes the title game over them, watch, that shit will happen.

Scenarios like this are EXACTLY why the BCS needs to go. Of course, if Notre Dame ends up with 1 loss, they are are in, since they are god's gift to College Football.
However, the true sign of the apocalypse is in the Big East.
Temple-Rutgers to see who stays in first place.
I'm a Temple alum.

But I am not so sure a four team playoff will be THAT much better. I think an 8 team is ideal, perhaps even 16. If we were doing 4 team format this year, you have to think two SEC teams get in, then probably Oregon and either Kstate or Notre Dame. Then you get to listen to the Big12 and ACC bitch and moan. Thats why they are trying to get the "Must be conference champion" rule added, but it will never happen.

Luckily for the non-southeast part of the country, looks like Oregon is going to be beat. I think Lane Kiffin is a bit of an idiot, so even though USC might be play them twice (once on Nov 3rd, and then again in pac-12 title game), oregon will probably smoke them
if it is alabama and oregon, I'll need to go take a look at Bama's d-line again. I don't think it is as good as LSU's or South Carolina's. The whole reason Oregon got beat by Auburn and LSU is because of the D-line. Oregon's offense tells the O-line to hold blocks for 1 second and then turn upfield to get the 2nd line of LB's and DB's. LSU and Auburn are too big and too fast for that nonsense, which is why both teams were able to shut down that high power spread offense.
LSU and South Carolina have more 1st rounders in their front D-Line this season than any NFL team (i.e., LSU starts 4 guys that will go in the 1st round, no NFL team starts 4 first rounders on the DLine).

So Florida is all the sudden looking legit. I think they handle Georgia this weekend and then we get a nice Florida vs. Bama/LSU winner SEC Championship game. In that scenario I don't think there is any way we get an SEC vs. SEC matchup. The loser of the title game will have JUST lost to the other team, and the Bama/LSU loser I don't think will get in either.

Why are things that are so simple and just, so hard to actually make happen in this damn country. Why can't we just make it an eight team playoff? How hard is that and their jobs? LOL, I mean it seems that common sense these days is the last thing that people use.
Top 8 for the most part gives you all big conference title winners and teams that went undefeated or something in lower level conference.

Taylor Martinez of Nebraska is the most improved player I've seen anywhere in college football. Dude looks like a legit pocket passer and actually knows when its right to run.
On the same token, Big 10 kicker AND punter of the year Brett Maher(also an All American), has taken the biggest step back. Just this game he shanked a 16 year punt and missed a 30 yard field goal.
